My minds damb near gone. It's one in the morning and I can't remember why I actually came to the forums right now. But I'm here so I'll tag another picture up here that I did. It from a couple days ago or last week. Done on some cd notepaper or something while I was dealing with a nasty bit of work on my computer. Nothing like sketches to kill stress I suppose.

I'm guessing that that's Link, right? I dig the boots, but the lithe frame and the too-soft face and hair suggest a strong sense of femine tones. Not that it's not a good drawing.... it most assuredly is. But it makes Link look way too girly, IMHO.

I like this picture. The tuft of hair in front of him seems a bit out of place, but other than that, this is a nice expression of your style via a familiar character. (He doesn't look girly to me, but that's my opinion.)
By the way, note the irony. A Nintendo character drawn on Sony paper. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. Hey, I think that looks great. Now that I think about it, I would like to see a Link game done with your artistic style. You should give nintendo a ring or something.

I admire your ability to draw something so detailed in so small a space... but I especially admire your hands and feet... I should study yours just so I can get a better handle on my own. -_^

Here be another one inspired by Star Wars and Avatar. I wondered what it would be like for a Jedi to use their force powers through their feet instead of hands. This way would allow him to make constant attacks through a fluid combination of kickboxing/force and sword fighting.

The Link drawing is absolutely adorable.
The pose of the second one must have been hard to pull off. Nway, I love the Jedi one. The pose is too, frickin', good
Jedi using force through feet/legs? Try teaching them capoeira and you've got a force to reckon. They'd be great dancers, btw. -------------------- "I fell off the mountain of words at around the 10,000ft mark. I think the first sketch is superb and can't fault it. I did assume it was a female character though. Not that I think that matters. The second one looks cool too! good stuff! Keep up the good work, it's a nice talent to have.

Technically they should be able to... I guess SW's choreographers just don't know much about kickboxing or martial arts.

Actually the pose for the second one was fairly quick. I redrew the leg after I realized it put the character off balance (originally I wanted him to be doing a flying kick), but otherwise it was a quick sketch through.
This was something for a star wars thread being done in another forum. I thought of coloring it before submitting, but I don't have the time anymore. This post has been edited by Narratorway on 17th May 2005 00:18 Attached Image -------------------- |

Like the Jedi one. I am so jealous... I could never pull off a pose like that.
I like the girl you drew too. Se kinda looks like she gathering up some kind of Dark energy and is going to shoot it at someone -------------------- "No matter what happens, I will always be with you... forever." ---- Pocahontas, Pocahontas "Only those who are already at the top are rewarded without trying."----- Delita Hyral, Final Fantasy Tactics http://www.ffshrine.org/fft/fft-midi/1-42-back_fire01.mid ---- My favorite FFT battle song |

Actually I believe that's Leia in her slavegirl outfit... the rest of the lines are, I think, stray pencil marks.
And it's all really well done, too... o.o -------------------- ~Status Report~ * Completed... Dragon's Head * Completed... Soldiers of the Empire: Disciples (release pending) * In Progress/Undecided... Of Love and Betrayal * Planning/Assembly... Where it all Began |

Oooh... Force-fu, huh? If Luke had known something like that, he might not have lost his hand, the poor boy.
Anyway, nice sketches. Thay look pretty cool, and I like the way you replicate fight scenes. Perfection. Another little ditty done couple days ago, whilst dealing with an irate computer. Never actually read a Superman comic I don't think, but a lot of other people were popping fanart for him in some other forum, thought I'd join 'em.
P.S. Y'know I don't think I ever mentioned this, but the reason link looks so girly there is because the original body frame was that of a young girl. But I forgot what I was going to sketch, and when I came back to it, I decided to draw Link instead. He's about as close to a girl as you can get without actually being one. Your idea for a Jedi who used his feet to do force pushes is brilliant. I wish Lucas had thought of it, it would have been cool to see in action. The concept is very exciting to me especially given my current SW frenzy. Link and Supes look very cool. Well done.

Alright, so I decided to spend this weekend cleaning house. Whilst doing so, I came across another lil doogle I did on one of those cd notepads I found myself in possesion of and no real use for...other than doodling of course. Just a kid looking up in awe of...something, like somethin out of a Speilberg movie. It got my attention because I don't tend to draw that kind of expression. Don't know why...just don't. Also, think it's the first time I ever got the 'mouth agape' to work.
Personally, I think he's suprised he has to pay a traffic ticket when he's too young to drive. This post has been edited by Narratorway on 30th May 2005 02:07 Attached Image -------------------- |

Not sure what you mean by flat hair line. The pic a bit confusing for me though, so I'm not suprised.
This was just a whim drawing, if it was inspired by anything, it'd be because of some Sam Keith comic covers I saw of something called Zero Girl. This isn't fanart though. Just...a whim. Attached Image -------------------- |

Oh she's not pissed. She's just concentrating reeeeeally hard. I mean c'mon, she's balancing her entire body by her fingers. I imagine you'd looking a bit strainded yourself you tried pulling that. Hell, she eventually hopes to be able to balance on just one finger. Takes its toll, y'know?

Screw the double post rule. Been a couple weeks anyway.
Alright, so I'm checking out one of my webcomic haunts Penny Arcade. Anyone who posts in the general gaming forum here I can damb near bet cash money has heard of it. Anyway, them and this other place, PvP always seem to have at it on some issues which I feel are really none of either's damb business. But it's fun to watch 'em spar, and it inspired this lil doodle. Pissed me off though, cause as soon as I finished it, I found out one of 'em already did the gag in their comic.
