Yeah, again. I can't seem to stop writing. And I never, ever seem to finish them. But anyway...

*clears throat* Welcome to Final Fantasy XIII, the untrue sequel to the upcoming Final Fantasy XII, by yours truly, Kilakandra_DiMenia!! And now, for the teaser to this special story! I present to you... the prologue!!! *secretly activates switch and sets off artificial cheering*

Prolouge

Moipelico was dying. All his healers were gathered around him, assuring him that he would live.
"I've been developing a cure for this type of disease for a while," one young healer told him. "If I can finish it in time, maybe I--" But Moipelico turned him away.
"I fear that it may be too late by the time you finish," he explained to the healer. "I can already feel my life slipping away from me. It is too late now."
"But sir, I--" the healer began again. But Moipelico stopped him again.
"It is too late now," he repeated. "Please leave this room. And bring my daughters to me."
The healer opened his mouth, thought better of it, and beconed to the others to leave, leaving Moipelico alone for a few seconds. When the door opened again, a nurse came in, followed by two girls: one, a fourteen-year-old, and accompainied by her, a four-year-old. They were both holding hands and they stared nervously towards where their father lay, looking helpless, with dark circles under his eyes.
"Andromeda," he said, with a smile, and the fourteen-year-old returned his smile with a small, weak one of her own. Moipelico turned to the five-year-old. " Eustepa," he said, smiling at her, and the four-year-old, in contrast to her sister, turned very pale and stared nervously at her father.
The girl called Andromeda moved closer to her father's bed, leading her sister behind her.
"What's happening, Father?" she asked Moipelico. "Have the healers found a cure for this yet?"
"I'm afraid not," he replied. "They've managed to contain it so that it doesn't spread, as it's not contagious. I believe one healer said he had been researching a cure, but it will be too late by the time he finishes--"
"Father, you musn't say things like that!!" Andromeda cried. "You have to fight it, just a little bit longer. You must have faith! This disease may not be able to affect you if you're strong!"
Moipelico shook his head. "I'm afraid not, Andromeda. "This illness has alredy reached it's peak. It's too late."
Andromeda stared at him, completely paralyzed. "Father..." Eustepa was too nervous to speak. She did not want her father to go. Speechless, she did nothing but repeat what her sister said. "Father..."
"Come closer. I want to see you again. For the last time."
The two girls came closer to their father, so that he could see them more clearly. He examined them.
"Beautiful." He smiled again. "My daughters. I wish you good fortune."
Eustepa began to cry. "Father, don't go..."
"Don't cry, Eustepa..." Moipelico said.
He turned back to Andromeda. "I hear you have an interesting profession in mind."
Andromeda nodded. "I-I-I want to be like you. I want to become a knight."
Moipelico's smile broadened. "Very unusual for a girl to want to be a soldier... but interesting nonetheless. He turned back to Eustepa. "And what about you, Eustepa?"
Eustepa lowered her head to hide her tears. "Healer," she whispered unaudibly.
"I can't hear you. Please speak louder."
Eustepa lifted her head again. "I want to be a healer. I want to cure people. I--" she stopped.
The entire room remained in silence for some time. Moipelico then sat up, with some difficulty. Before he could say or do anything, both his daughters threw themselves onto him and hugged him at once.
Moipelico returned both their hugs at the same time. Again he spoke.
"Eustepa... may your healing career bode well..."
Eustepa nodded, her eyes still leaking.
"Andromeda..." Moipelico muttered, still holding the two girls.
Amdromeda nodded. Her eyes were also leaking slightly.
"Become a fine warrior... may you bode well..."
The girls felt their father's arms release their hold, and they fell limp upon the bed. When they released their own grip on their father's body, he fell back into his original place, limp, unmoving, unbreathing. He was dead.
Eustepa became almost hysterical. She screamed for a few seconds before burying her face in her hands and crying softly. In contrast, however, Andromeda remained standing where she was, transfixed, tears continuing to leak from her eyes, though she was not aware of it.

Nice! I don't know what the HELL FF XII is, or will be, but the story was good. Just one thing :
At the beginning, Eustepa is four. Then she's five. Then she's four again.
Something i'm missing, or just a bit of error? Apart from that, good work.
