i agree with you musashi, one on one with the proud clod is pretty difficult at first - but lvlng up is my friend now, and good ol mr lvln makes everything easy - i voted proud clod, but ruby, over all is the toughest, in my opinion

I never had any problems beating any of the bosses. I think its not the hard of a game because of KotR but even without it you can easily beat sephiroth and any other boss in the game.

Definately Demon's Gate, in fact i didn't like the temple at all for many reasons. The other fights apart from carry armour were either easy or you had KOTR and owned the huge HP ones.

I think Ruby is the hardest. You have to kill off 2 of your people just to damage it. Then bringing them back to life and all that other stuff, he's the hardest.
PS: Sephiroth is one of the easiest

Ruby is the hardest boss because to take more than 0 two of your people have to be dead, then you have to bring them to life or you have no chance to win!!!!

Ruby is still the very hardest.

Carry armour was the only one that actually caused me a game over. if you don't get his arms right off the bat, you're done for.

Stinger [spiders in Gi cave] i had difficulty with [even though they aren't really bosses] that is where added effect+choco-mog came in handy! they can really deck you sometimes. kill in one shot.

i runied every boss is this game i have a habit of over traing but it comes in handy but ruby was annoying it kept doing that attack to make one of your players dissapear and it was always Vincent my strongest

Ruby weapon and Godo were probally my 2 hardest guys in the game. Actually, replace hard with annoying for ruby weapon. Godo got me angry, especially when he goes to that face that does alot of damage, and his cure spells were a pain.

I don't consider the WEAPONs as bosses, they're more of a class of their own. the hardest boss would have to be the dragon in the ice cavern, as it's the only boss that actually does damage to me more than once... but to the inexperienced player, I'd say Reno, because they seem to not realize that the pyramids can be broken.

In my opinion, Ruby weapon isn't as hard as he is Annoying. I mean if you think about it, he's just like emerald weapon except you can't hit him 25% of the time, and emerald weapon wasn't what i'd call hard. The hardest boss that i fought in this game would have to be the boss before the submarine (Carry Armour?) and that's only because when i fought him the first time, he casted Lapis Laser twice and wiped out my party, but other then that, he was fairly easy. I really enjoy fighting emerald weapon without KotR. Very fun

The Demons gate and the Ruby Weapon are still the only 2 bosses that gave me considerable trouble as boss fights, especially Damons gate because i never used Aeris and she would die 2-3 turns into the fight, so i had to Rely on Cloud and Barret/Cait Sith (the only two i will ever bring in to that area.)

Carry armor, just yesterday it killed me five times in a row...I don't know why its Laser was so powerful, ( around 1700 damage), so two of that and it was game over for me. Also I didn't know it can grab you, he grab two of my characters , one died and it was game over. But after losing that much I killed it in less than 2 minutes, before he can grab me. ( also Ghost ship killed me enough..it was a bad day)

I'm one of the nubs who train to a rediculous level early in the game, so i never really had trouble with any bosses. But i haven't made any real attempts at Ruby or Emerald yet, as i am lacking Final Attack, KOTR and Mime Materias. I heard there's a sneaky way to open a battle with All lucky 7's, which is supposedly effective against Emerald.

As for my vote, i gave it to Ruby. Is there anyone else who can Ultima your entire party into oblivion with one turn?

I'd have to say the Carry Armor because it took me, like, a dozen tries to get it, that stupid lapis laaser along with arm grabs kept destroying me. I got it finally using comet like, 5 times. I can't say that Proud Clod was hard, because that was the first time I used Caot Sith's slots, nad i got the one that kills the enemy instantly (bloody useful). The Weapons arent hard if you know what to do, though. I had crappy level materia (final attack had one star ), and still managed to beat Ruby. Rapps bothered me, because I had to do it early in the game, but that didnt cause much of a problem.

Rapps and the Demon Gate (or wall) were the hardest bosses in the game for me. Everyone else was easy. Well, everytime I fight Schizo I get so annoyed because that bastard has killed me more than any boss. It’s attacks are too powerful, and one time I was using Cait Sith and then I used slots and GAME OVER!

For some reason, I really didn't like Carry Armour. I Trined and I Ramuhed and I Bolt 2ed to no end, but HE WOULDN"T DIE.

I never really tried against the Ruby and Emerald WEAPONs. Ultimate was easy, and Diamond left me with only Cloud alive (it was the only time in that game that anyone leveled up twice from one battle) but I beat him on my first try. Once you know what you're doing, Bizzaro is easy. And on Safer, I had Omnislash.

Say im crazy, but i reckon GODO. I never use Yuffie, which made that whole pagoda challenge pretty hard. I was only about lvl30 or less, so that's prpbably another reason he was kaining me... I equiped her with counter, time, restore, poison and HP Plus materia for the fight, which helped a great deal. My strongest attacks were doin bout 990, and he healed 1220... Overall, the whole thing took me over an hour, but finally I kicked ASS!

I agree with you. His healing spell pissed me off so bad. I tought that after a while he would just run out of MP, but he never did. I hited reset and went to get Kjata. Demi helps incredibely, once Demi damages very little use Kjata and WALA! GODO GONE!
