They make the best arcade equipment money can buy. One of my comparitively big-spending friends bought one of their dual sticks and is planning to build a Marvel vs. Capcom 2 arcade machine (his favorite fighting game) using their DIY parts (for the record, he is also a helluvan artist and is already building the shell/booth/thingy and designing a mural-type design to paint on it, but I dirgess). Back on topic, their solos and duals are the awesomest acrade-style pads you can find, and I would kill a man to get one (solo or dual joystick , I honestly don't care). So, anyone else out there putting one of those babies on your Christmas list? -------------------- |

I'd just like this chance to say that that arcade controller is quite impressive. I'd love to have one as well but I digress. It's too expensive. I could buy 2-3 brand new games with that kind of cash or maybe a next generation system. Considering that I decided the DS wasn't worth my $150 dollors, a duel arcade controller probably isn't going to cut the mustard either. I must admit though, I'm fairly certain that the controller would be very durable. The SNES alone can survive a TV falling on it if you can keep the dust out of the small hole in the case. If this controller is as durable as I'd assume, I'm sure it could easily survive a three story fall. No joke. I don't actually reccomend doing that though, just incase I'm wrong. I'm not exactly an expert on that sort of thing don't ya know?
Despite the price though, I do love Marvel vs. Capcom 2 and do find it tempting to buy the controller and a PS 2 just to be able to play it at home just like I did in the arcades. I'd sure save a lot of money on quarters too. . . I envy your buddy laszlow. I just don't quite have the kind of spending money to do anything remotely similar to that. ![]() Oh well, I'll just have to be content with what I have. Also, I'd advise your friend to watch his back if I were you 'cause when he's using those parts to build his cabinet it might resemble that controller you so dearly desire. We wouldn't want anybody to kill their friends now would we? ![]() -------------------- |

Oh man I think i've had an X-Arcade Cabinet on my christmas list for two years now. Granted I want one for the consoles, what I really want one for is a MAME Machine. Lacking $1000+ funds, however, I cannot get one.
Although my mother's boyfriend Joe and I were reading a hacker's book. Had all kinds of really cool stuff, projects and what not. One of the things in there was a helpful little guide on not only how to build your own arcade cabinet, but how to wire a Joystick and buttons. So in all honesty I think that's what we'll probably be doing. There's nothing better to go with MAME, than an arcade cabinet. -------------------- This one time I punched a bear in the forehead TO DEATH! I still have the scars on my chest.
