Something strange happened to me on my last playthrough (Well, not so much strange as life saving... over and over)

Usually, when I summon Ashura, I get the short end of the stick, so to say.
She never used to cast cure... anything on me, i'd always get life1.

This time though, right through until the final boss, I never saw Life 1 once. it was always one of her Cure spells. (cure3/4 I think) I summoned her like every boss battle, prefering Rosa to use 'White' on her turns. (Till i got Bahamut anyway)

This ever happen to you? Either the 'only life1' casting all the time, or the nothing but cure spells. Yeah, i know it's a dumb question, but it's had me wondering for some time now.... Is it based on luck or something?

by the way, my other question is: Does Ashura have any other skills beside....
1) Life1 - Casts life1 on team
2) Cure 3 (Or so it looks like) - Heals about 1000 - 1500 to team
3) Cure4 (Or so it looks like) - Heals about 3000 - 4000 to team.

I thought Ashura had 4 heads (1 spell per head) but I've only ever seen those three. Are there any others?

The few times I've summoned her it's always been random. Sometimes heal, sometimes life, but never the armour head. I've never bothered with it since it can be unrealiable.

The armor head isn't there in the FF2us release. Instead it was replaced by the Cure 3 head.

As for me, I almost never get the Life head. That's a good thing, because it's usually the useless head.

The heads do different things depending on the version you're playing. I've heard of all of the following spells being cast:
Cure1
Cure2
Cure3
Cure4
Life1
Heal
Armour

Could someone please sort through the version differences and come up with a report on what versions have what spells? I only have FF2us, and I remember reading about either Cure2/3 and Life1 or Cure3/4 and Life1, but I never used Asura much.

And by your spelling of 'Ashura', I assume you're playing the FFIVps?

Actually, I played a rom. Never heard of the Armor spell before o.o

Does it raise defence (Phy/Mag) or something?

Ashura is not very reliable, the most I always got is always the Life1 when I summon her, also the protect but never the cure spells (I don´t summon her continously let say less than ten times in a game)

My luck with Asura is the worst of the worst. When I want a cure spell, all I ever get is the life head, when I have all of my other players down and want a life head, I get a cure spell. It seriously sucks but I still use Asura sometimes and it only does what I want it to do maybe 25% of the time. Yeah, that's not good, that isn't good at all.
Oh well, I like Sylph far more. It has the consistancy of always healing and does a reasonable amount of damage. It's a much better use of a turn in my oppinion. Go Sylph, drain that life away.

to be honest, i've never used ashura... ever, since my luck is so bad with it
i NEVER get the right spells at the right time, so i leave ashura to gather dust while the other summoned monsters go out to play
