Valvalis. The whole cloak and 1 hp moves pissed me off. I survived that battle by a thread with everyone but Cecil dead! I did not find Rubicant or any of the other fiends hard, though. I killed them easily.

Milon - He was way to easy to defeat to be taken seriously.
Cagnazzo - Also way too easy for anyone who knows anything about elemental spells. Valvalis - The only one of them to ever defeat me and one of only two bosses to kill me. (the other was the last boss and I was under level 45 the first time I fought him.) Rubicant - Black magic wasn't even necessary during the fight. Kain had an ice spear and Cecil an ice sword, both did a few thousand damage a turn and his cloak could not stop them. |

I can't remember the first time i played the game through, for which one was the most difficult because Ino one is really difficult anymore. But If I'd have to say anything... Valvalis.

I found all of them a sench. Rubacant was the hardest for me, and I think I got him in two or three rounds. The only hard part is learning how to afectively use a low level Edge. (How I hate Edge...

Eh, i found Rubicants combo of fire spells and his sheer amount of HP (well, its more of a threat if you are at lower levels) made him hard to kill.. and what made it even more annoying is the fact that he COULD absorb Ice spells when his cloak was closed. Heh, at Lv99 he is a joke but im talking say.. mid level 30-40 its much more of a pain.
Then again, you cant really put the pin on saying one is more difficult then the other, its decided more-so on your average party level and party setup/strategy that makes it easy/hard. I always had a thing for Milon though This post has been edited by Dawezy on 5th October 2004 02:23 |

I was seriously underleveled the first time I fought Milon. Milon Z wiped me out like 4 times before I beat him. So he got my vote.

Rubicant, because he healed me to have an honorable fight, unlike the rest of the Fiends.

I didn't think any of them were that hard.
Milon - Beat the crap out of his first form and swtich rows. Then use Twin on him until he screams like a girl. Cagnazzo - Same here. Electrocute him until he's well-done. Valvalis - Kain is her master. 'Nuff said. Rubicant - Honorable but weak. They were even more of a joke in the Giant. Puh-leaze! You're so much stronger at this point, or should be, that they're not even a challenge anymore. |

cagnazzo rubricant and valvalis were all pretty easy except when when valvalis set my hp to one, still wasnt much of a problem though -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

Milon Z was hardest for me. I couldn't do much with DK Cecil... everyone else was weak... Kainazzo, Valvalis, and Rubicant were a cake walk for me...

Rubicent is the worse. Stupid flame cape. But Dumb Valvadis. She's the close 2nd. But if Kain jumpes every turn, She's not bad.

to be honest i don't understand why valvalis should be any diffictult, she was one of the most easiest enemies..only an imp is easier.
some strikes of cecil and jumps of kain and she just died.....some wind/weaken spells and some hits. thats all. that battle in Zot was a matter of seconds. however i admit that she is slightly better than the water elemental who just hides in his turtle and get a bolt3 on it and dies instantly. rubicant was quite impressive, though. my chars had lvl46-48 then i met him and still his glare killed rydia 2 times in a row the second time after rosa used life2. quite impressive damage, but his fire2 spell was kinda ridiculous. the most dangerous was milon on his second form, cause you characters were quite at low levels and he did hit hard and was quick, but fortunately also low on hp. however, my vote is rubicant. not only he is a strong but also impressive in his will to fight honest. |

I said Milon because he's the only one that I remember being difficult. I haven't played in years, but I remember him and the Dark Elf as being the hardest to kill. I used a walkthrough that said not to fight any battles on Mt. Ordeals, so I didn't. And I didn't level up. And I spent a week or so fighting Milon and dying repeatedly. I killed him on a Sunday morning and then had to leave the game paused for an hour just before Cecil became a paladin because I had to go to church. That was the longest damn church service ever (well... except for the time there was that guy that just WOULDN'T SHUT UP and went over time).
So since Milon's the most memorable, I'll say he was the hardest for me. I don't remember any other fiends being a challenge at all. And is it ever great to be in college and be able to sleep on Sunday mornings now... This post has been edited by Riona on 12th December 2004 23:31 |

It isRubicant for me. I hated his elemental cloak, it ment the Ice spell that would have helped me a couple of turns ago, helps Rubicant instead. Not only that but he healed me before the battle! No that doesn't make him harder, it makes him easier. But consider this, if a boss can prove himself difficult even with a handicap in your favor, he must be freakin' hard. As for Valvalis, to me she wasn't even the hardest enemy in Zot. That award goes to the self reviving Magus sisters. It took me a long time to figure out their "trick".

Quote (BGrugby @ 25th November 2002 18:08) I would have to say Valvalis. Although I find none of the four fiends extremely hard, I think she is the only one that has actually killed me. I hate it when she goes into that damn tornado, plus I believe you have Cid, Rosa, and Yang in the party who I consider very weak except for Rosa's heal ability. Well said. I agree wholeheartedly. -------------------- The eloquence of your deceit, will be your downfall." |

For some reason Caganazzo always manages to catch me with my guard down. I remember him NOW, but when I'm playing the game i always completely forget, and I forget to buy pheonix downs before whatever dungeon he's in. Therefore, by the time I reach him, Tellah is out of mp and Porom is dead. Yes, I did just say that he's hard because he's hard to remember.

Milon for me. Water was really easy as long as you kept Tellah alive to cast Lit 3. Fire and Wind were easy once you figured them out - especially Wind.
But yeah, none of them were exceptionally difficult. |

yeah, that's what i tended to do a few times, nullifying all the damage i did to him over the last few rounds, monkeys
nah, all the other fiends are easy as pie, especially Milon and Kainazzo (why does he hide in his shell anyway? i mean seriously... -------------------- Yes... this world is filled with both Light and Darkness, though how long this delicate Balance will last I don not know. |

My nickname is Rubicant for 16 years now. Im so sad I couldnt have it on this board. I really think that Rubicant was the most noble of the 4 fiends and he was very cool. I also think that Rubicant is a cool name. I will call my son Rubicant If my child is a boy. My vote goes for Rubicant.

Well... milon was destroyed by my Polom who always has a massive level and thus kills him with Fire 3. Cagnazzo... again, Polom with Lit3 and a little support from Tellah. Rubicant... well, since Polom is massively leveled, Rydia has Ice 3 and the aid of the Ice Sword and Lance. Not a very difficult battle. Valvalis isn't exaclty difficult... just annoying really. All that text in the battle just slows it down, so I'll have to go with her.

a tie between rubicant and valvalis.....but i would say valvalis was more annoyingly hard of a fight cuz of the text "Must stop her spin....Kain jump!" took forever to end then it would pop up again.....oi!!!
Rubicant does have that tornado fire-thing. So...nevermind valvalis....its Rubicant! cainazzo.....what a wuss! PEACE OUT! -------------------- ...That's General Leo.. He could be my friend if he weren't my enemy.   Sabin, Final Fantasy VI |

My vote is for milon, in fact the first time I played the game , you know how it goes, low level low experience, but this boss was hard for me at least, the other bosses are difficult as well too,..

Meh, none of them were really that dificult, but my vote goes to Rubicant, for two reasons,.First off, he has his cloak, which absorbed all of the magic that I flung at him, and the fact that he hit hard w/ a myriad of flame spells. Furthermore, he was the first boss that actually made me afraid of losing, as even w/ Rosa doing Cure-3 (I was only level 34 when I beat him) every turn, he was still gaining a 200-300 HP damage advantage each turn. However, Cecil and Kain triumphed for me, hacking that monster to pieces w/ ice elemented weaponry. I can't comment on them in the Giant though, as I haven''t reached that yet.

How many people had Rydia at the level where she learns Blizzaga(Ice3)? Because I didn't and Rubicant kept closing his cloak when Rydia summons Shiva. I thought that it was a favorites poll so I put Rubicant, even though I was going to put Barbariccia. She's tough because of her stupid wind cloak crap. It took me a while to figure her strategy out.
