So, i missed it at the beginning of the game. One of my options is to go to bone town and dig it up. Though I've been trying for the last hour and all I get is either potions or nothing. The other option, which I'm not sure how it would work or even if i can do it, would be to use my secter 5 key to get back into midgar. If I CAN do so, where would I go to get the W-item? I mean, how would I get to that tunnel again?

You can't go into the tunnel again.
When you head back to midgar with the key you wil enter an old and familiar enviroment.
Soo good luck with digging dry.gif

to be honest its been 2 years at least since I last played ff7, but if I remember correctly you have to look for normal treasure to get w-item. seems like I remember it being buried on that x-shaped dirt patch beside the bottom of the ladder, but I might be mistaken on that

Edit
cool this post put me to crusader level

Edit
oh, and jenova's witnesses is probably the best handle I've ever seen in CoN, I love it

Well, screw digging. that sucked and i got nothing. but on my return trip to midgar to kill hojo i was able to nab it from the tunnel.

and thanks. the name spawned from me and my friend joking around about jehovas witnesses. I'm such a nerd i actually said "Jenova's Witnesses", then my friend made a final fantasy joke. good times. thumbup.gif

Seriously, is it possible to get the W-Item throught digging, or, it is just another controversial mith?
There are some people who claim that they read the game script, and found nothing about it.

You can get W-Item at the beginning of the game? I thought you had to wait until going back to take out Hojo before it was available.

I saw that in another thread a while back and tried to find it again recently. Thanks for doing the leg work for me! I crashed the train because I thought it was funny for Cid to go "Trust me, speed up it'll work!" Then I sped up and rammed into the town anyway smile.gif. I've been working on a master save on the PSX game (three master materias, full stats, all limits/weapons/Enemy Skills, blah blah) but thought I couldn't complete it without him, and left it alone months ago. Now I can finish it!
