(NOTE: Im playing this game on a PSX, not SNES)

Some of Sabin's Blitzes I have no trouble with (Pummel, Supplex, etc), but some I can't get to work: the ones that you have to press down and left/down and right, etc. (ie Fire Dance). How exactly do you do these? (Stupid question, I know).

With those, don't press each one individually. Instead, make a sort of rolling motion along the keys, like you would do a special move in Street Fighter. For example, Fire Dance, which I believe was left, d/l, down, d/r, right, you would start with your thumb on left, then roll it along to the right, counter-clockwise, so you'd pass over the down as well.

I feel it, it's leaving me

y'know, the number of times I've seen this question asked makes me want to scream. Yeah, call me blunt, but it seems rather silly to have to keep making references to that guide, instead of putting the link somewhere more permanent. the gamefaqs boards are somewhat plagued by this sort of thing, and I don't see why people aren't doing much besides post the link to every single person who can't work it out.[/rant]

Who hears me on this?

You are not the only one Scorpio, I also had problems sometimes even with the alternative methods...but just requires some practice (on both methods), a tip: Just use Pummel it is an very easy, piercing defense and effective Blitz to do.

Tip if you're using an emulator: enable the diagonal buttons and use them as separate buttons. Whilt executing a Blitz, press the correct buttons in rapid succession. Works perfectly for me.
