Well, erm, I was just curious how you people play good ol' Final Fantasy 3/6.
I know there are some who choose to play it on an emulator as well *quivers* please i dont want any flaming for the inclusion of that poll option blush.gif

oh and also, this topic does not recommend to place a site or whatever about some emulator, as you will face some consequences if you do! if you really want to know, just google it! (or PM)

I had two playthroughs on my SNES cartridge, which I sold to a friend for fifty bucks after I got my PSone and Anthology. I remember it specifically because Mega Man X, FF VI, and Chrono Trigger were the three games that I held on to the longest, and ended up selling each of them for good money ($170 dollars total, for the three cartridges without boxes or manuals). Since then, I've had one playthrough on the PSone; probably around 170 hours or so between all three.

Classic SNES. Slow as hell on the PSX, beyond annoying. Only FF I played on ROMS was FFIII because it hasn't been released over here yet.

I own the PSX port, but because of the hellish loading times, I use an emmulator.

I do indeed have all of the above methods of playing the game. These days i'm just at my computer more often, so I usually end up emulating it.

The SNES can't browse the internet, stream internet radio or play mp3s. You can't apply patches to the SNES game or mod it either. I prefer using an emulator on the PC. Playing on the actual SNES is so 90's man!

Well, I've done all three, but my SNES doesn't work anymore, and I lost the emulator.

SNES mainly, it's my favorite gaming platform. I have over 50+ cartridges of games and I'm going to get more if I can. I'm a gamer and collector in that regaurd. Playing 16 bit games on a nice big TV screen and seeing all of the viberant 2D graphics is also a feeling that can't be beat.

Eventualy I'll play the Anthologies version that I have at least once to get all of the neat unlockable stuff, especially that monster guide. However, I prefer to play the originals or as close as I can get to the originals when I can. I only got Anthologies for FF V to tell the truth. VI and the additional features was just a bonus that helped justify the slightly inflated price for just one additional game.

I voted snes because I actually haven't played my PS1 version of it yet. I don't actually play the game as much as everyone here does. However, about 8 years ago I was an expert on the game as well as Earthbound.

I use my trusty Emulator, mainly because I don't own an SNES anymore (and even then you know how hard and sometimes pricey the cartridge can be?) and since I first played it on an emulator it would seem pointless to buy the game for the PSone, even though I can get it for pretty cheap.

I've got a ROM sitting on my computer. I don't usually apply patches; its main purpose is the ability to speed things up and having multiple save states with different characters. If you're writing a walkthrough, it's great to actually be able to bring all seven characters to Zozo smile.gif

I recently borrowed the PSX version, so I'm playing that one as well; it's awesome to browse through all the little changes they made.

I would absolutely love to own the original cartridge, but it appears to me that thing is rarer and more expansive than Something Really Rare And Expensive.

I have a FFIII SNES game in my closet. happy.gif It's from long ago, I don't even know if it still works. I don't even have a SNES anymore...

Now I have... three greatest hits. One, scratched up beyond reason (but I can't bring myself to throw away), the other, a Greatest Hits I got for my birthday, and the most recent, one that I paid 18 bucks for, just for the little music CD that came with it. happy.gif That's four FFVI games... Oy, the life I live is sad.

If I still had the SNES cart, I'd play on that. The load times and lack of glitchability (yeah, that's a word) on the PS version really irritate me. That's still my version of choice, though, since I really can't stand emulation.

I've had the SNES version since March 1995, but also like to use emulators to play it, especially since it's been years since my SNES was even hooked up.
