Anyone here play Diablo II? I've been playing the demo shareware that I downloaded on-line and it's so addictive from at least 2 days of gameplay as a Barbarbian. I love walking around, killing things and looting their corpses. Then, the occasional "make potions out of monster's insides and bodily fluids." While it may seem a bit outdated, it's still really popular and addictive. I want to get the full version now... biggrin.gif

Yeah it's fun but it does get repetitive. I play once in a while but it can get annoying after a while. Once you get to a certain point, the replay value is gone. The only redeeming factor after like level 80 is player vs player, but I don't even like that since there's not much of a prize involved and everyone's got cookie-cutter builds.

I got addicted to Diablo II after I first got it, and even now I'll still play it every once in a while, but I believe that Blizzard's upgrades and changing of the versions so many times since it's inception, it seems to me to be a different game than the one I originally picked even without the Expansion Pack. I still love the Diablo series, however...

Probably one of the most addicting games of all time.

The first time I played Diablo II was at my friend's house. I got him to burn it for me, and then started playing it. Since then, I have played with every single character to the end, and beaten it on the first 2 difficulty levels. It does get repetitive after a while though.

My favorite character is the Sorceress. Large mana supply + high stamina + good selection of spells + good equipment = biggrin.gif . Who are you guys' favorite char's?

Overly addicted to that game:

Level 93 Necromancer
Level 92 Barbarian
Level 92 Sorceress
Level 89 Paladin
Level 86 Amazon
Level 79 Druid

Probably more hours on this game than FFT...

I go to Hell difficulty as an FoH Paladin (for duels), and I see "Immune to Lightning." And their physical attecks would killl me in about five, maybe six hits if I'm lucky. I'm thinking "Great... just effing great."

I don't play much anymore at all, though. World of Warcraft seems to be its logical successor, with a lot of things fixed, like the damn economy/trading system. I prefer to EARN my stuff, not get hand-me-downs. I also prefer to EARN my levels, not get rushed through the game.

Oh well... it was very fun, though. I miss it.

This topic caused me to start a new game, so I re-installed it and now I am beginning anew as a Sorceress. This chick kicks ass!
