I wouldn't say it's too low, but it makes the final fight a lot more difficult... I tried it once with most of my characters at lev. 40 and some below that, and failed... but then again, I may not be a really good gamer ^.-.

By the end of the WoB I'm always around 60... but, oddly enough, outside of an emulator I've never beaten the game.

Now, on an Emulator, I've reached 99 basically every time I've played it. I have yet to beat it in cartridge form. My cousin won't give me back the game.

I'm gonna either try a Low level or CES Natural Magic Game. I have yet to get past the WoB in a Low level game.

But average on end is 75-99 depending on the game I play.

I managed to take on kefka's tower with about 6 people above level 40 and everyone else below lvl 40.
However, it also depends on how you set up your party. For instance, I spread it out so each party had 1 or 2 level 40 characters. I put Sabin and Gogo in separate parties, and gavel gogo blitz. I gave Umaro his relics, and didn't even bother using Gau or Relm. I don't normally take my time to level...

Mid 30s usually. With some leveling up and all, game is still pretty easy though.

Or maybe I rock too much for this game? laugh.gif Man...I suck.

35 is generally the regular level you would expect when play through the game first time. I believe I was in 4th grade when I first played it, and my characters were in the 50s and Terra was 72. My rom then got screwed up and I believe my reaction looked something like this:

All my characters usually are in the middle or on the 85-99 range. I always level up my characters in the WoR in that Dragon Forest. Usually when you are at a high level, it's hard to gain even one level, but in the Dragon Forest you can gain 3,4,5 levels in a matter of minutes. You can have 9999 HP and 999 MP without having to go to level 99 or cheat codes. You can be in your low 30's and have 9999 HP and 999 MP without cheat codes because the game was made for that to happen. It's just a secret not too many people know. Must happen in the WoB! Want more info, send me a message or ask me here and I will tell you what to do if you don't know yet. ^_^

dude. this is the 3rd post of bullshit that ive noticed from you in the last 24 hours. all you do is post on every dead topic a bunch of lies. it is impossible to be in low 30 levels and have max hp and mp without cheating. even with the stat bonuses of espers its not possible.

the last time it was some sorta relic that made your character fight every time at the colliseum.

then it was that terra was the ONLY one who could use magic in the first half of the game.

now this crap?

WTF dude. quit spamming this forum with your incorrect posts of pointless junk. god knows what else youve posted on here. just stop man.

I am not lying about the 9999 HP and the 999 MP thing. First, before you go into the cave and talk to the Espers and end up in Thamasa with Leo, save your game outside of the cave. Then go into the scene with Leo and save state in slot 9, and beat Kefka. Then, save your game again when your near your airship by South Figaro and save outside the town with only one character. Then open the save file with General Leo in Save state 9. Have Leo lose the battle with Kefka and you will notice it will take longer for the game to load up the last saved game. It should show your one character outside South Figaro. Check his/her stats and they should be 9999 HP and 999 MP. Not all the character will be at 9999 HP and 999 MP, but most of them will. (NOTE: This will ONLY work if you have the Snes Rom and ZSNES emulator, not on the super nintendo or Playstation. That is probably why you can't do it because you are trying it with the Super Nintendo or PS. Rom and Emulator on the computer ONLY!!!!)

Also, it would work better if you use Setzer! thumbup.gif

Sorry for the mix up. I forgot to tell you it only worked with the FFVI rom and ZSNES emulator. Oh, and one more thing. I forgot to say Celes to because for ALMOST half the game, they are your only magic user until you get the Espers. The reason I left Celes out is because almost after you get Celes, your character get the Espers and learn magic. I said Terra because you had her the first half of the game, and for a while was the only magic user. Forgive me, I should have been more clear. I also found out the relic thing was false thanks to a friend. I tried it last night and it was false. Please forgive again for me not being clearer, Jacemm 7283. I hope we are cool. smile.gif

My average level at the end of the game was 46. My highest character was Celes at level 50 and my lowest was Gau at level 39.

Level 40's are a fair level to be around to beat the game.
This is, of course, considering that you have some sort of skill.
There's a reason I'm trying my LLG - I want to see Kefka die to level 12's.

In a game like Final Fantasy VI, its more pre-planning, luck, strategy, and equipment (which falls under pre-planning and strategy) than leveling your characters and casting Ultima 10 times.

Anyone can hit 99 and beat Kefka, not everyone can be around mid 30's and beat Kefka.

I, personally, beat the game so many different times on so many different levels.
I've yet to face off against Kefka with anyone lower than high 30's, and it was quite difficult, but the fight was far more intense.

This is why I loved Chrono Trigger - the boss became stronger with your characters so it was always of equal challenge. But, demolishing the ending boss in one character's turn is fun too.

The first time I played through, I had Locke at level 99 and everyone else around level 50. The second time I had Terra at level 99 and everyone else at level 40. The third and fourth time I got everyone to 99, and I will go through a fifth and last time with the GBA release. I have gone through the beginning sequence over 30 times trying to get my game perfect, before an adequate walkthrough was available.

It gets lower and lower each time I play through the game. It was in the 50s when I first played it, then 40s times after....now in the 30s. My highest level was 39. Proof that this game is pretty broken, but that's pretty obvious. Then again, I liked Vanish/Doom/Slotting/Moogle Charming my way through the game, so I get a lower time each time.

So fun...heart.gif

I had my 4 main characters Shadow,Edgar,Terra & Celes up to lvl 99.
But i had a mini glitch all the characters in the top row had 9999hp and 999mp but were at there original lvl which was like 50-ish they had crappy status.
But yeah i guess 50-ish and i tried seeing if the glitch would work in the bottom row so i lvled like 2-4 ppl to lvl 99.....didnt work

So everyone was at lvl 99 except for ppl in the top row and my 4 main chars and yes that means i lvled all ppl in the bottom row cept for Umaro & GoGo to lvl 99

That is the cheat I was talking about, it was a glitch!! Yeh, I changed my strategy and found it boring to end the game with all my characters at level 99 so the last couple times I beat the game, I have been around level 30s.
