We've all heard that line "On the edge of your seat" in association with alot of movies, but has it ever happened to ya? So which movies had you on the edge of your seat? Whether it've been a movie theatre seat or your sofa, for me it'd be:
Alien Resurrection: The underwater chase scene Cube: The scene where they try to get past by the Sound Detection Booby-Trap Panic Room: Basically the whole movie! The Blob (80's remake): The whole Movie Theatre and Sewer Sequence I'm sure there's a few more but I can't remember -------------------- |

The train station scene in The Untouchables, the tennis match and lost lighter scene in Strangers on a Train (my favorite Hitchcock movie, you have to see the movie to understand why that scene is so crazy), and the Mount Rushmore scene in North by Northwest (not my favorite Hitchcock movie, but that scene rules).
Edit I assume the word you're searching for is suspenseful, yes? This post has been edited by laszlow on 3rd April 2005 01:40 -------------------- |

The first one that comes to mind is The Italian Job. I've only seen the newer version, but I'm quite happy with that one.
Of course, suspenseful is a good word for a lot of great movie and game moments. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. The most significant for me would be in LOTR: The Return of the King. The Battle of Pelennor Fields had me, quite literally, on the edge of my seat, with my mouth hanging open. My friend even commented: "Justin? No, really, close your mouth. You look like a zombie."

I would have to say was in Star Wars: A New Hope when Luke was fighting the Death Star and he was the only one left. Granted I was not in a theater but I was on the edge of my seat, especially since I was only about 12.

Shoot, too many for me to remember... probably the biker scene from Return of the Jedi and a few others when I was younger... the space battle in ST: Nemesis was pretty intense... ...and I'm certain a bunch others that just plain escape me at the moment. :-/
