I will most likely stick with Sony and get a PS3, especially if the FF series stays with them. If they go to Nintendo I might go with them. Frankly it doesn't really matter to me cause all three systems pretty much produce the same games, with each one having a few select titles that only they produce (i.e. Nintendo - Mario, Zelda). What scares me is I see one day when a new console will be released each year and they will become obsolete as fast as computers do.

Iwata said that their new console would use an entirely touch-controlled "controller."
Whether or not they change it before release is up in the air. -------------------- "Dance, water, dance!" -Demyx, Kingdom Hearts II "I met my love before I was born..." -AFI, 'Love Like Winter' from 'Decemberunderground' Currently Playing: Guitar Hero, Shadow of the Colossus |

I read an article somewhere stating that the Dreamcast (remember that?) failed due to the fact that Sony had already planted it in the consumer's head that the next generation of gaming doesn't arrive until Playstation puts its stuff out on the market. Which is entirely true I think. So far at this point we've heard that they're working to incorporate the Blue-Ray technology in the PS3 (the thing reads a disc with a blue laser instead of red one, allowing the disc to hold more info) as well as possibly having some kind of disc burning abilities. Now albeit this will be extremely expensive to start off with (for the consumer), it will be offering more than X2 will. So far for that I haven't heard anything other than the fact that it will just be a beefed up version of the original X-box. Faster this, more memory that, etc. So the X2 will most likely be cheaper (a la Dreamcast when it debuted), but Sony will be the one calling the shots (and commanding customer's wallets) when the PS3 hits. I expect Microsoft to flounder after Halo 3 debuts (whenever that is...) and Bungie to not have another big breakout hit. Then that'll leave Sony to dominate all with Nintendo either filling out its niche, or coming back to be the other dominant rival of the industry.

Again, TWO PS3s will be avalable. One will have a DVD burner etc for about $500 (its a home entertainment center) and the other will just play games and will go for probably around $250. I hope Sony doesnt change this. Its a great idea.
