i dont know how to get final attack materia. can someone help me?

You have to beat Ultimate Weapon, then fight in Battle Square until you get both the Omnislash and W-Summon. After that, you can enter a special tournament, if you win, you get Final Attack.

Go to battle square and win omni slash and w-summon
then the receptionist will ask you if you want to fight a group of
stronger enemies accept and you will fight some pretty hard guys
the last fight is the Proud clod!
Then she will give you final attack materia !
( you must be on disk 3)
also the girl at the botttom of the stairs in place just outside
will give you sprint shoes if you talk to her after you did that

She's on her lunch break, the trick is, you have to go to the Chocobo station and run up and down the steps (yes, entirely) 50 times. Up once and then back down counts as only 1. Then, once you hit 50, you'll be entered into a random encounter with what appears to be a boxer, his name is Rocky and he's just as powerful as Ruby Weapon. Be careful for his "ADRIAAAN" attack, which reduces your health to 1 and causes the Mute status effect. Defeating him will give you the "Eye Of The Tiger" key item, which you bring back to the battle square. This calls the Receptionist back to the front desk and allows you to fight for the "Final Attack" Materia.

The problem is, the only way to defeat rocky is to have the final attack materia in the first place, because, just before he dies, he does a final attack himself, called triple choke slam, which takes out your whole party!

Oh by the way, you know the lady you usually talk to, to start a battle in battle square? talk to her. don't forget, you must have defeated ultimate weapon (seriously) already to get this special battle.

Is there a materia that does the equivalent of Life 3 (i.e., auto-revive status) in FFVII?

To answer Glenn's question more in-depth, Final Attack is a support (blue materia) that will use the linked materia upon dying. Linking Final Attack to a Revive materia is essentially Life3/Reraise/Auto-Life.

Well, if you use Final Attack and a materia that damages the enemy, and that attack kills the enemy, you stioll get a game over. You might get the satisfaction of knowing you took it down with you, but that won't do you much good when you have to start from your last save.

yeah if there's any point in the game where all three characters are on the floor KO'd then it's game over, even if the enemy is dead as well.

I used final attack with phoenix but I think perhaps it would be more useful junctioned with Life2.
