What's your favorite sport? Mine would be soccer, closely followed by baseball.

Haven't had one of these in a while. Well, two categories here: Favorite Sport to play and Favorite Sport to watch.
Sport to Play: 1. Basketball - With the resurgence of the Bulls lately, I've really wanted to play some BBall but unfortunately *looks outside at blizzard and foot of snow already* it doesn't look like that'll happen anytime soon. 2. Ping Pong - Oh yeah baby, Pong it up. 3. Badmitton - Underrated. I suck at everything else, so. Sport to Watch: 1. Football - Playoffs, yum. GO BEARS, no matter what. Next year, their Defense will dominate the league. 2. Baseball - Go Cubs, wow are they gonna own this year and no one even knows it. Talk about the perfect sleeper pick. 3. College Basketball - March Madness anyways. I have a habit of winning March Madness pools, and I hardly watch CB until March Madness. Go Illinois. 4. NBA Basketball - Throw out their 0 and 9 start and the Bulls have the 2nd best record in the East. Ben Gordon is the man, he can just take the game over in the 4th quarter which is the kind of guy the Bulls have needed. Yeah, sports are great. When Michael Jordan came out and said, "I'm Back", I think it changed my life. ![]() -------------------- The clouds ran away, opened up the sky And one by one I watched every constellation die And there I was frozen, standing in my backyard Face to face, eye to eye, staring at the last star I should've known, walked all the way home To find that she wasn't here, I'm still all alone -Atmosphere "Always Coming Back Home to You" |

My favorite sports to play are Ping Pong and Tennis. I'm also pretty decent at volleyball, but only for recreational purposes. I wouldn't play on the school team. If only my school had a Ping Pong team, though...that'd be the greatest to ever happen to my school, with the exception of the purchase of 20 pi shirts for math league counties; that was incredible as well.

Extreme typing!
Seriously, though, I don't watch sport, I don't do sport. The closest thing I do to exercize ( I'm having one of those moments when the spelling of a simple word like that escapes me ) is walking. I walk a lot. |

I watch everything.
I play everything. *Everything has some limitations, such as cricket and other exotic sports so don't respond saying like "You mean you watch croquet too?" ... because obviously I do and it would be embarassing for you... [that was a joke, people] I don't really have a "favorite" to watch. Whatever season it is, I'm all over it. Pro Baseball, some College Baseball, Pro Football, College Football, some European Football, Tennis, Golf, College Hoops, Pro Hoops, Pro Hockey, College Hockey during the "Road to the Frozen Four", ... and whatever is on ESPN on any given time. Oh, and the X Games. I LOOOOVE the X Games. Summer moreso than Winter, but it's all good. I do have a favorite to play, and that is basketball by far. I love just shootin hoops at the park or playing a pickup game of 3 on 3 against whoever's there. I also enjoy playing golf and tennis frequently. I was big on roller hockey, but that has faded in recent years. Don't play much baseball, which is disappointing, but I have taken up Wiffleball with my friends, which is always a good time. I also play flag football and soccer on occasion. Next to music, the sporting world is the biggest influence in my life. -------------------- "When I turn the page The corner bends into the perfect dog ear As if the words knew I'd need them again But at the time, I didn't see it." ~"This Ain't a Surfin' Movie" - Minus the Bear |

Skateboarding, snowboarding, wakeboarding, etc.; just ab.ut any of the extreme sports. I use to have a liking for basketball, but after I lost i*terest,1I haven't watched NBA or NCAA. That was around 2000, I believe.

My life revolves around sports. I don't know what I would do without them.
Sports to play: Basketball (I'm on my way to the gym now, in fact) Football (although it's not easy to get a good game around here.) Baseball (again, not easy to get a game, but a lot of fun.) Soccer (Thank God for my area's large Hispanic population. Nothing like a nice pick-up soccer game in the spring.) Cross-country/track (although I'm still taking time off after the end of my running career, I'm going to pick it up again after this winter.) Biking (Both road and off-road. By the way, I-90, biking completely counts as a sport.) To watch: 1. College Basketball. I love college basketball. This time of year is almost as good as March to me, with good games almost every night (Tonight: Oklahoma St. at Oklahoma, Tomorrow Illinois at Wisconsin.) but in March, my schedule revolves around the tourney. The opening weekend is my favorite four days of the year. There is no sport on the planet that compares with the effort and overall intensity of college basketball. 2. Baseball. I live and die with the Cubs, and you can usually tell if they won or lost the day before depending on my mood. 3. Football. The Bears will stink it up on offense for one more year, then draft Vince "Michael Vick II" Jones and go on a Patriot-like dynasty ![]() 4. NBA Basketball. And rising with the resurgence of the baby Bulls. John Paxson is God. 5. Track. Although the opportunity to watch it is few and far between, it's still one of the sports I most closely relate to. 6. Soccer. I can only really watch soccer on a large scale, though, like the world or euro cup. 7. Hockey. Again, though, I like it a lot more when people are playing for their countries instead of leagues. -------------------- Hip-Hop QOTW: "Yeah, where I'ma start it at, look I'ma part of that Downtown Philly where it's realer than a heart attack It wasn't really that ill until the start of crack Now it's a body caught every night on the Almanac" "Game Theory" The Roots |

My favorites are dance and weapon throwing. I love throwing axes. Swimming is fun too, although I suck at it. I don't know if dance counts as a sport, but it's excercise anyways.
My favorite sports to watch are dance (if you can count that) and jousting. Renaissance fairs are so awesome. |

As for watching, I can't stand watching sports. Dunno' why but I just hate it. Let me play them anytime. -------------------- Games on the Go Final Fantasy VII Final Fantasy: Four Warriors of Light Baldur's Gate Too much to play, so little time! Greg |

To play:
1. Basketball 2. Soccer, indoor or outdoor (two entirely different games) 3. Swimming/aquatics 4. Football 5. Tennis To watch: 1. College basketball 2. College football 3. Pro football (Hail to the Redskins!) 4. International soccer (WC qualifying, WC tournament, Olympics) 5. College and Olympic hockey (who the hell cares about the NHL? Give me the Frozen Four!) Edit I love practically all sports, those are just my favorites. College and international sports > professional sports in nearly every situation because they care about the game more. The NFL is the only pro sports league that I truly enjoy. This post has been edited by laszlow on 29th March 2005 06:33 -------------------- |
