Listen! You can't change anything about the game now. And besides, FFIV was a great game to start with. You basically just made a forum to make people insult your opinion. Yang's personality fits him. He's peaceful and calm, like a real MONK!!!

6. "Replace Edward with Anna..."
WTF?! That would totally ruin the story because the game intended for her to die. Besides, what would FFIV be without the "spoony bard" line.

No.  Why?  It's Spanish.  So is Rosa (meaning "Pink," of course...

Well... no, actually, it means "Rose." Like the flower, not the color. And both her and Cecil's name are Latin, not Spanish. Plus, the pronunciation of Cecil's name in the katakana is the British (seh-sul, not see-sul).

Note: This is all coming from someone whos Spanish exposure comes from Mexicans and about four different classrooms (though most of them repeated the same stuff).

-Shrug- We always learned that "Rosa" was pink, and also rose, but of course always used it for pink. We just didn't talk about roses much, I reckon. Like, "Cafe" being brown, and I think also coffee. That's how my teachers've taught us [in Spanish class]. Since we didn't learn Latin ever, I'd have no idea about anything about it. ^^

I pronounce Cecil as "Seh-seal" because I know a Spanish/Mexican person named Cecil, and that's how he says it. It also goes with the grammar taught in Spanish.

Re: Espers. Well, given that they changed it in my games (all three of them- two on PS, one on SNES, so basically, the US versions at least x.x) to "Esper," and in my Spanish book, "Esperanza" is hope and "Esperar" is to hope/wait so I made the connection. Probably means the same in Latin, too!

I'm sure that there are many people in the country who wouldn't mind trading some Spanish heritage for being part Asian, the way this crazy country has so many Japan-freaks. I'm part Hispanic, but I'm keeping it, sorry.

I was under the impression that all of those characters with the exception of Tellah had survived, even if they were originally thought to be dead. The Mysidian elder revives the twins, Edgar was recovering in Toroia, Yang was rescued by the Sylphs, Cid is around to make an airship upgrade before the Eblana mess, and Golbez and FuSoYa are down, but still praying right behind you. Their appearances at the final battle are their prayers for your success willing you to victory, sort of like in Earthbound.

That's how I remember it. And also, isn't it weird that the troll person who started this thread hasn't shown up in weeks, yet we're still spitting on the corpse of his ideas? I think it's time to retire this topic.
