Fathers side: Scottish From Fife. Emigrated mid 1800's and moved all around New England. The families with my last name were related Lowland Picts, and the other families that married in here in the states were from the same community for the 1rst couple generations.
Mothers side: Polish & Ukrainian Emigrated in the roaring 20's and moved to the Scranton PA area and became coal miners. I don't know much about what they were up to back on the continent because my aunt (a geneologist) hasn't worked on it yet, and because 20's NY immigration records bite posterior. There you have it. In short - 50% Scottish, 25% Polish, and 25% Ukrainian. I'm 100 % Frisian as far as I know, and part of that knowledge dates back to at *least* 400 years ago. The chances are minimal that there was blood-mixing before that time, so that makes me of a pure Frisian.
I don't know where all the Frisian muscles went either ![]() -------------------- |

I'm a bit of a mixed bag, now let's see...
Mother's Side: Great Grandfather was Greek, moved to Australia many years ago. Married an Irishwoman (I think), Grandmother marries a Scotsman (not sure). Father's Side: Scottish/Irish. Great Grandfather sailed to Australia from Scotland. There could even be a bit of French/German as well. The only thing I'm sure of is my small Greek heritage. ![]() -------------------- I'm a general, not some opera floozy! *insert humourous observation here* |

Well, by blood, I'm half Scottish and half Swedish. Scarritt is the Scottish name, and Anderson the Swedish. However, that's all on my Mom's side, and since I have absolutely no desire to know anything about my blood father's side, I don't exactly know everything about his heritage (however, I do know that he was Scottish and Swedish as well.
When my stepfather adopted me, I gained his last name (Sisco), and, in my eyes, his heritage, which is Italian and Polish (I keep hearing that Sisco is an obviously Italian name). So, I usually tell people that I'm 1/4 Scottish, 1/4 Swedish, 1/4 Italian, and 1/4 Polish. Only people who really know me know that the last two are by law only. Time for some (as laszlow so well put it) threadcromancy (I was gonna say necroposting)!
I am... 2/8 Austrian - dad's dad's side 3/8 Russian - dad's mom's dad's side, and mom's mom's side 1/8 Lithuanian - dad's mom's mom's side 2/8 Polish - mom's dad's side Put it all together and what do you get? A nice Jewish boy with the name Teichman, which came from Austria. And I did a whole project on it recently, so I say this all with certainty. It's nice not being English, Scottish, Irish, etc. like everyone else, but annoying because it's harder to research. -------------------- Squenix games completed: FFIII FFIV FFVI FFVII FFIX FFX FF Tactics: Advance 2 Chrono Trigger Dragon Quest 8 Dragon Quest 11 Super Mario RPG |

My father's father's family was English, Welsh, and Irish; my father's mother's family was Irish; my mother's family was all German. I don't know enough about my dad's family to get the right percentages, but I'm basically your typical German-Irish WASP.

I'm a quarter Irish, Italiian, and German, and the rest is a mixture of all those and French, as far as I know. I am a genetic mutt, basically. Black hair, blue eyes, and freckles.
...and um...that Irish heritage kinda made parts of my beard red, as opposed to black. It's pretty interesting. The few times I actually grew my beard out, it was all black until my chin, at which point it turns partly red. Yea. Pretty awesome. -------------------- Is PJ |
