I dunno, most of the Germans I met just spoke German (and fairly good English).  Maybe it was just me.

I'm about a quarter Irish, or something.  My Grandad used to live in some big fat observatory over there that's now a visitor centre or something.  Other than that I'm pretty much English, though I think an ancestor was a high-up in Venice at some point, or something.

I think he meant because they call the country Deutschland, or fatherland.

I'm a lot of everything. To tell you all of them would tack to long and after you read it all you would question why you took the time to read a silly little paragraph that talked about nothing. But to bad, you already have.

I'm a pure blood. 100% Korean. Wheee. Of course, I'm adopted, so maybe not. I might have mixed blood in me, but I kind of doubt that. Heh, I noticed that there are a lot of Korean people here. Kind of strange.

Well you just got another Korean at least I think so.  I am also adopted so I too might have mixed blood.

My mom and dad however as far as I know are mixed.  My dad I think is mostly english with a bit of german.  and my mom is mostly German with a mix of french and english if I am not mistakin.  Of course tey most likely have small percentages of nearly all other european countries in them but most americans and europeans do.

Of course my whole family is 100% American and proud of it.

Ethnically Chinese.  My father makes a big deal about how I'm 1/2 Chinese and 1/2 Taiwanese.  Dad's side of the family has lived in Taiwan for 200 years, making them culturally Taiwanese living under Japanese colonial rule.  And my materal granfather emigrated to Taiwan during WWII, which makes them actually mainland Chinese.  So yeah.. racially, I am Chinese.  Ethnically/culturally, I am Chinese-Taiwanese-Japanese.  And apparently I don't look Chinese, but instead I look Japanese or Korean.  Confusing, yes?

confusing indeed.

i am irish english german and spanish (mainly portuguese descent, but im not sure if thats all it is), all divided up fairly equal, or at least thats how i think of it, because that simply makes things easier to explain but i look irish.

there are a surprising amount of korean folk in these forums.

My father is from Mexico, so I wouldn't rule out that he's part Mexican Indian and part Spanish.  My mother is mostly German, part Czech, and I used to be told a very small portion of something else.  I vaguely remember being told that that last tiny percent wasn't true, but still...could be a little bit of many things.

But mostly Hispanic and German. :nods:

The white side shows in my skin, but I got my dad's eyes, hair, and his beard (i.e., some of us Hispanics can't grow full beards.  I can only grow a goatee and mustache, and thin ones at that).

I'm one of those families that doesn't know what we are.  The only thingI know is that my family (dad's side) came on a boat to America in 1624(around there at least) so I'm 13th generation american...

I'm a decendent of the people who used to call Texas (or rather Tejas) home before the American settlers decided to take over and kick everyone out. Rather, my ancestors didn't go "back" to Mexico and stayed in the place of their birth. Of the four grandparents, three have deep roots in Texas. My paternal grandmother was from Colorado and her family has been there for X amount of generations.

In summary, I'm mostly of Mexican (being of European Spanish and Native Indian) decent with some German and English.

I'am half Dutch the rest is New Zealander, English and Australian. My dad says I come from good work ethic culture. I myself only consider myself Australian.

My mother side of the family comes from along line of SDA Christians. I was never raised as a chirstian and in the end I become one. Ah well, thats life.

7/8's Irish. 1/8 german. Its a deadly combination. Anglo-Saxon power. German and Irish from my moms side, Irish from my dads. Every sacred event on my dads side quickly turned bad, after 7 drinks. I don't think we had one christining without a drunken brawl.

Heritage stuff, huh? Let's see if I can remember everything...
There's German, Irish, Scots-Irish, Yugoslavian (something like that), English, and French, and then my last name has Swiss origins (my grandfather was a doorstep baby). I have no idea what the percentages are, but I do know I'm more German than anything else.

My mother was Cherokee Indian, as in she was part of the tribe. My grandparents on my father's side were all Palestinian, but he was adopted so he didn't know that for the longest time. Because of that my last name ended up being Scottish. I guess that would make me half 'n' half then. Funny thing is, I look white skinwise and don't have brown eyes like you'd expect, although that's where the Caucasian similarities end.
