The editor you're using cannot alter the palette of a character.
However FF3SE can. Take note, The last three or four colors on the palette spaz out during battle, and already are not in use on any playable characters And it affects all characters using the palette. I use the editors together. FF3SE is easier to use, but is missing a few sprites. FF3us has all character sprites, except "Celes chained". you could easily use TileMolester to change that sprite though. -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

ok, im still stumped. i DLed FF3SE and i cant figure out how to assign a different palette to a specific char. i can edit the palette assigned to the char, but it changes the palette for anyone else with that palette.

Quote the problem im having is changing the default palette for the specific char. Oh, when I read what is quoted above, I assumed you meant edit the palette. I don't know of any editor that can do that. A mehod that does work for giving a character a different palette is importing the character over one that does have that pallete. (i.e. you want terra to have cyan's palette so import her over Cyan.)and then afterwards change the hex values for the characters represented in each scene. I never made it that far to test it out, my laptop crashed before that. Edit although with this strategy if you want to keep all the character sprites, you have to swap both their palettes, through importing. Also who knows you may be able to hex edit which palette is assigned to each character as well.Hopefully, Zed, Djibriel, Caesar, or Runelancer can shed some more light on that. sorry, should have been more specific in my first post. ill see if i cant figure something out. your method would work, but it sounds awefully difficult.
