This is on SNES, have anyone seen it or heard about it? (Well it's not like I bought it or something ![]() -------------------- I will be there... |

I would guess it was the start of advertising for Seiken3. That they were just trying to get it out some sort of advertising, with planning to bring it to the USA. That would be my guess.....
Either that, or you were seeing things. Maybe they were selling a copy of the Japan game, but named it that so people would know what they were talking about. That's just my guess though. -------------------- "And that, my liege, is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped” -Sir Bedevere the Wise |

Squaresoft has had a long-standing habit of changing game names to better suit American audiences. If you saw an ad for Secret of Mana 3 in a magazine....... well I don't know what to tell you about that. It was never released in the United States at all, but they very well may have planned to at some point. They wouldn't have called it SoM3 though, because the U.S. release before it was SoM. Although I guess that doesn't really matter if the FF U.S. releases are any guide.......

Since Secret of Mana was Seiken Densetsu 2, it's plausible to believe that an advertisement for "Secret of Mana 3" was for Seiken Densetsu 4, our Legend of Mana, and that it wasn't being sold for SNES. Â I've always heard Seiken Densetsu 3 referred to as Secret of Mana 2, so 4 and 3 would likely follow.

Wait a minute... I thought that SoM was Seiken 3, not 2. Â ![]() -------------------- *END TRANSMISSION* |

Final Fantasy Adventure (for GB) = Seiken 1
SoM = Seiken 2 Seiken 3 = Seiken 3 LoM = Seiken 4. I believe that's what it is... not excatly sure. -------------------- "And that, my liege, is how we know the Earth to be banana-shaped” -Sir Bedevere the Wise |

You hit it dead on there. So SoM is Seiken Densetsu 2. -------------------- ".....we'll settle it with a coin toss....." "What do I look like, a waiter?" "...alright, uncle ulty REALLY wants you to do his portrait" "Strangers with this kind of honesty make me go a big rubbery one." |
