There's a lot of things in DoS that were added, but, my favorite part is when you fight Ultros in Whisperwind Cove. tongue.gif Can you fight Chupon? I know that you can fight Phantom Train.

Chupon is in Whisperwind Cove, yes. Enemy 142 in your bestiary, under the translation of Typhon.

Thanks, the enemy that is the toughest in my opinion is Omega Weapon in Lifespring Grotto. It took me three tries to beat it. sad.gif

Agreed. And all you get out of it is the [third] best weapon for the Ninja. I was bummed.

Yeah, Omega was a pain. Shinryu is no fun either.

Is Warmech in Sky Fortress, 'cause I haven't fought it yet. Can you go back at least? When do you get Ultima Weapon? Sorry for asking so many questions.

Warmech: Yes it's in the sky fortress, and it's a very rare random battle, either in the Tiamat room or the room immediately preceding, I forget which. You can return to the sky fortress, but you'll have to trek all the way over the desert and up the tower and through the fortress all over again. Adding insult to injury, Warmech's not the nigh-unstoppable death machine (which is it's new name) it used to be.

You get the Ultima Weapon in a chest upon beating Doom Gaze in Whisperwind Cove. The Ultima Weapon is insanely powerful, and it can be equipped by any of the upgraded classes. Oh, and apology accepted.

Really? Dang. DAWN OF SOULS is my first time playing through FFI, and after all the hype that you-know-who got in the FFI Nintendo Power Strategy Guide from many many years ago, I wanted to fight it at full power.

Which, in terms of power, is better, Masamune, Ragnarok, Excalibur, Braveheart or Ultima Weapon? I have both the Masamune and the Excalibur and Ragnarok, but I gave my Ninja Masamune and Ultima weapon to Knight.

The first time I ever played through FFI on the NES (god, that was a decade ago!), I was a complete wuss. I ran away from every monster that I wasn't forced to fight. Lucky me, i hit that 1:6 chance to meed Warmech on that bridge before Tiamat. I was decimated. Utterly decimated. And after spending all those hours running away from monster after monster. sad.gif

Yeah, I spent like an hour trying to find Death Machine and in the end, a Red Wizard is not your friend. I wish that I had continued fighting with a Ninja. Or at least a Black Wizard. I tend to like Black Wizards more, but, Red Wizards can use better weapons. They sorta suck at magic. eh.gif
