OK, here's how to get the "Great Gospel" Limit Break on D1. (NOTE: There might be another post/FAQ/Walkthru/Etc. with this info in it. If there is, I apologize!
![]() After recieving the buggy from Dio, drive it "into" Costa del Sol. Once there, you will appear as Cloud (duh). Head towards the dock, and speak with the man in front of the Cargo Ship. He'll mention something about letting you sneak on the Cargo Ship as a stowaway for some gil (I think about 100 gil or something). Answer "Yes" (or whatever the affirmative command is; I haven't played this game in a while). The ship will then sail to Junon Harbor. Exit Junon, and you will be in the buggy. Drive the buggy up to the Sleeping Man's cave (remember that you can drive over shallow water with the buggy). In order to recieve some "Mythril" (exchanged for the "Great Gospel" Limit Break), the number of battles you fought must end in the same two digits (i.e. 255). After recieving the Mythril, head toward the house near Gongaga (the Weapon Seller's house), and talk to the man there. He will allow you to open one chest (out of two). Open up the small chest on the second floor to recieve the Great Gospel Limit Break. To get back to the Costa del Sol/Gold Saucer continent, repeat these steps backwards. Another interesting thing I have noticed about the buggy is that, if, when going to Cosmo Canyon for the first time, you park the buggy and walk to CC, rather than driving the buggy to CC. The buggy won't stall if you don't drive it by CC. Also, I have found a way to keep the buggy after visiting Nibelheim! If you park it in the little mountain valley to the left of Nibelheim and walk there, the buggy won't "dissappear" (Well, actually it has dissappeared on me before, but the last time I did this, I had the buggy even after getting the Highwind!) -------------------- Gau: Gau's treasure...... shiny, shiny!! Shiny, shiny, shiny!!! Sabin: Can anything be THAT shiny? |

Well, getting Great Gospel on disk one certainly isn't a secret. You can't do it any other way.
Possible spoilers: highlight to view so doing it any other time would defy logic.Aeris dies on disk one, And no, the buggy won't break down if you don't try to drive it past. The trigger is on the map right in front of the town. The only reason the buggy breaks down is so you stop and go into the town (if you kept walking, you would be unable to get to Nibelheim due to a river), and if you do it anyway, the trigger is not necessary. And I'm not sure, but don't the buggy and Little Bronco not disappear until disk 3? -------------------- |
