My strongest party member at the end of the game was Ramza, at level 89 (started a new game that I beat last night, thank you) and Orlandu at a close second level of 88. thumbup.gif

My Reis was at the second-lowest level of my standard party, but her speed was 14 and magic power was a hefty 31, making any of her Dragon, Black Magic, Summon Magic, or Math Skill attacks do incrediculously gi-normous damage.

EDIT: Oh, and those stats are before I equip her with dual Rune Swords and a Setiemson.

Strongest would have to be Orlandu for obvious reasons. Bracer, attack up with that Excalibur granting haste. Not to mention a Thief hat for more speed speed and immune to Don't Act and Don't Move. Pure tank.

Orlandu at level 99. The best part is that Orlandu is the Devil. When I finished equipping him he had exactly 666 HP (15 speed and 25 PA). Don't mess with the old dude with the big sword.

Agrias. Don't remember her level, but definitely Agrias. I never used Orlandu. I DID however, give Agrias his sword.

Based on AK's response to his own question, he is asking who was the highest level, since Orlandu is so unfairly stacked that he is still "stronger" than Ramza even if he's one level lower.

At the end all of my characters were at Lv99.

As far as subjectively strong goes:
Orlandu
Generic Knight
Agrias & Ramza

I don't rush through the game for any reason, so all of the characters I use are level ninety-nine. The strongest is usually Orlandu (if I keep him), but when all the equipment and weapons are doled out, Beowulf has the bulk of the 'good' and the rest get the 'intermediate'.

After Orlandu and Beowulf, it's probably Meliadoul, then Ramza.

If you really want Orlandu to be a powerhouse, equip him with the two swords skill, and if you're into cheating, clone the Excalibur or Chaos Blade, if not, Equip the Save The Queen. Equip hamedo to him to and he will do approximately 900 damage every time (depending on level and power) I've had him so he will do 999 every attack and attack everyone who tried to attack him. Extreme power, man. sleep.gif

My strongest character is usually Orlandu or Ramza. Orlandu is a powerhouse without changing him in any way, and, while he takes away some of the game's challenges, he's fun to play at times and I use him sporadically. Ramza, on the other hand, I equip him with Two-Swords and give him a Rune Blade and the Ragnarok (I have never tried the Deep Dungeon, yet)* as a Knight with Black Magic, Auto-Potion, Move HP-Up, and he's nearly industructable.

Probably a tie between Orlandu and some Generic Equip Armor Ninja and/or Two Swords Knight. Both are so hilariously overpowered.

Orlandu, Strong? dry.gif

Don't make me laugh. He's the worst character I ever had. His Speed Growth and MA growth are extremely low and not talking of his PA that is lower than the monk's.

His techniques doesn't fit to be considered a Thunder"god". Because actually Reis is a thundergod tongue.gif . As for any other character, it's very easy to find the appropriate equipment/abilities to get rid of anything in your way without doing lthe level down/level up trick...

SCRAM ORLANDU

And for Me well it's Ramza lvl99 because you must bring him in every battle in the storyline sad.gif . Couldn't there have been a battle with Delita in a bit on his storyline not including Ramza? I wished so.

ARE YOU CRAZY??

Orlandu is virtually the best character in the game. If you want to debate this, go to my new post.

Look, Zodiac, I'm a big Reis fan too, but a lot of the things you are saying about TG Cid are simply false. He has the highest PA boost in the game, a notch above Beowulf, Meliadoul, Agrias, and Reis and several notches above any other character. His base speed is 9, I believe, which is above any other tank (noticably above Agrias and Beowulf, I think the same as Meliadoul), but a notch below Ramza, Rafa, and I think Mustadio (and way below Reis).

Plus, his natural skillset is probably the best in the game when it comes to dealing raw damage. He is the only character that you have at the game's end that can use Night Sword, and adding Lightning Stab, Hellcry Punch and Holy Explosion makes it ridiculous.

I try to be an expert rather than a fanboy, so my best character is my Summoner/Calculator/Dragoner Reis, with Monk/H.S. Orlandu and Squire/Samurai Ramza right behind her.

Orlandu took on every battle by himself basically. Holy Swordsman, Draw Out, Blade Grasp, Two Swords, Teleport. Two Excaliburs, Crystal Helmet, Reflect Mail, Bracer. Level 99, at that. They handed the game over by giving me Orlandu.

My strongest character would have to be my generic lancer from the start named after who? ME! maybe not strong against an orlandu but if this game were run under a turn based battle system my lancer would bounce only once on that old man and a spear would skewer the guys head! tongue.gif

Im sorry orlandu... your just too strong eh.gif

My best character at the end was easily Reis ( MAYBE Orlandu).
I had her as a Ninja, blah blah blah (you know the drill).
I trained everyone to level 99 my second time through (this was years ago, however).

My party was:
Ramza: Lvl 99 Samurai
Orlandu: Lvl 99 Holy Swordsman
Beowulf: Lvl 99 Temple Knight
Reis: Lvl 99 Ninja
Worker 8: Lvl 99
