I can't play Final Fantasy VII at all because of some compatability with Windows XP. I had this problem before and I don't remember where I got the needed patch and I can't find it anywhere.

The problem is: When I start up the game, I see nothing but a black screen, and if I hit enter, it comes to the New Game screen, but if I hit New Game it won't play the CG-Video and I have to exit the game through ctrl + alt + delete. I saw another forum that had a fix here http://www.ntcompatible.com/thread30131-1.html but now the link doesn't work, I would be very grateful to anyone who can get me this fix.

Funny you should ask this, since there was a topic on the first page that had the same question.

Did you even read my problem? Apparently not because it is in no way related to the problem on the first page, like I already stated I fixed THAT problem, this is a different one in which you can't play any part of the game at all. Fortunately I did find the file for this which is at http://www.ff7-universe.com/Download.html in case anybody else has my same problem.
