I know alot of us like to brag, but it's well earned, in this paticular bragging right message, I would like to know some things?
This time I played I made a new game to put my Friends. me Joe, diSab is David (the computer picked him name and zodiac sign matching weird), Dan Gill is DanGill, and Sexy, the generic best looking female in the game she is a Sexy Squire,. or a Sexy Monk. regardless... We all wanted these crazy ass powers befofre the first major plot battle so I leveled up in mandalia planes... By the time we got to Dorter, we were lvl 25 and I was a master squire, monk, knight, and lancer (which took alot of acumulating, David, was a master black mage and squire, with back up as time mage, and having short charge is a great thing. Dangill, master archer, chemist, and theif. Sexy is lvl 4 or higher in every available job class. delita was lvl 2. *lol* I thought this was kind of funny seeming how having a monk with hamedo in Dorter when the highest skill they had was fire 1 maybe 2... It was just all out hilarious, not to mention, Dave was casting FLARE on Meliadoul in the theives fort, and when Algus is on I am going to kill everyone else, collect all the crystals abilities and throw stone at algus until he dies... Ramza had a bunch of masteries, but once I got a Bull Demon from Sexy being a mediator I used him just for fun and not to show favoritism... Sexy is a Master Ninja and might I say, Schwing!!!! I think I can top that. In preparation for a rumor testing, I got a magic user up to approximately level 88. He had every magical skill learned except Zodiac, which was the wrench in my machine and made the whole level fairly worthless.
It's kind of fun parading around the game with high levels and horrible armor. Safe to say, the rest of the game was a joke difficulty-wise. -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

Aww man!!! I'm so jelous!!! Highest I ever got was level 4-5 for everyone. The only thing that makes me happy is that I had a Mediator and Summoner when I got to the Theives' Fort, but still.... *cries*

My third or fourth time through the game I was level 99 before Dorter Trade City. I don't even remember why (it was like 7 years ago), but it had something to do with a competition between myself and a friend.
Don't do it, the game is easy anyways, it takes a lot of the fun away when you have to let the enemies live to hear all the battle script. |

Every time I've tried to equip two guns my chemist or mediator wouldn't equip two of them. I'm not totally sure, but I think that any gun does not have the Two Swords ability available for it.

It was a preemptive post on thoughts about what I was going to do with her... I think I am just going to make her 4 of every job in the game with really hard to get skills kill her off and gather the crystal with Meliadoul.

I don't believe in leveling up needlessly without specific goals in mind (ie level up a single character so he/she becomes less useless, level up a character so they fit my plans for athem later, you get the idea). It really is pointless leveling up a party before Dorter, though, because you can't get guns, ninja knives, katana, spears, or a number of other weapons until a ways later.
Edit I understand that you may be able to steal or poach such weapons from random battles, but a FAQ check tells me that the only human enemies you can fight in random battles in Sweegy Woods or Mandalia Plains are Knights, Squires, Monks, Wizards, Archers, Thieves, and Oracles. Poaching may help you find a lot of things that I'm not going to try and look up, but where do you get the guns from? I usually try being on the same levels or (close to the same levels) as the average enemies' levels. Aganinst the Death Corps at Dorter, the average enemy level is 4 or 5, so I keep my levels at that.

Leveling up unneccesarily is fun but man, you just rape the game sideways. Try having everyone in your party master 3 jobs each, Ramza already having teleport and blade grasp, it was just not fair. The battle of Dorter took me 2 minutes.
[EDIT] Also, my FFT disc was scratched and it would freeze every time I got to Dorter so I was leveling up for a month until I decided to buy a new one. Hey, it worked. This post has been edited by TaintedWeapon on 22nd February 2005 21:31 |

I enjoy making a group of bandits (Ie; Thieves, ninja's) and raping everyone i come into contact with, theives are really not that strong so its still a challenge but i geuss after everything is stolen it makes it all easy lol -------------------- Peace sells... but Whos buyin? -Megadeth You wont be saying that when you get a lead pipe across the head -James (Darkness Illusions II) |
