Let me know if it's possible.

No. Not possible. Please don't double post just because you're overly anxious.

Nope, Ramza is doomed to have his base class that of a squire, and it does not change in the game's duration. When I first played, I tried to invite Gafgarion into my party, and I reset more than a couple times trying to get Gaffy's skills via crystal. Hey, who knows? Maybe you have to try it for yourself to be convinced.

I had the same question like a month ago and I got jipped with the stupid squire class that Ramza is stuck with!
That made me mad! I was mislead by my beloved cheat codes! I am so angry I think I will go and kick the crap out of Gafgarion! ![]() Ok, I am calm... I am calm... CALM DOWN AK5K! Quote stupid squire class that Ramza is stuck with His squire class is a lot better than a normal one. It can equip almost anything and it actually gets good abilities (wish, yell, cheer up, scream). In my oppinion, giving a permantent party member the Dark Knight class right off the bat would make the game too easy. Think about it for a second here: what does Gafgarion do every turn when you fight him? Night Sword! Both damage and hp gain every time you use it would be pretty unfair in the early to mid game. Yeah, it would probably not do very much damage early on, but since nothing deals great damage early on, it would still be enough to make Ramza (or whoever else had it) a tank! I think that's why they don't give you a permantent Dark Knight and just give you Orlandu. Yeah, that makes sense. Take away a potentially unfair character and replace them with a really unfair character ![]() -------------------- ~ Aurora, exhale bloody air! Dark Holy! ~ |

Damn,I tried that once, but Gafgarion`s crystal only give Charge+1, instead of Dark Knight skills....I personally don`t believe in other class for Ramza than Squire..c`mon, you think he can be in a class between Holy Knight and Heavenly Knight? -------------------- "Its no cheating if you don't get caught" |

Ramza is by far my best character. EVEN as a Squire. I had him master all of the proper magic jobs and then the Math Skills as a Calculator. All of those little strategies and things for battles, like the one-on-one with Wiegraf?
![]() I SMOKED Wiegraf. First turn. Holy. I smoked his Lucavi counterpart the same way. He's a (almost mastered) Squire with Math Skill, Short Charge and every spell that can be calculated. As soon as I get Ultima in this battle with Elmdor ((I HAVE beaten the game ... I desire to do a little more though ... Like stomp the game into the ground ![]() Heh. The first battle with Meliadoul I took out her entire team FIRST TURN without even moving. Ramza kicks some major arse. |

There's more to the game than just dominating the opponent. By immediately killing Meliadoul, you missed out on her Defender and Chantage (unless you stole it before hand, which I doubt).
To me, rushing the game is one of the worst things you can do, especially with such an interesting story. If I got the wrong impression, the ignore me. =p -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |
