Cloud, although all the characters are lovable in their own way. Even Yuffie with her nyuk-nyuks.

WOAH! Those memories weren't his!? You mean he's someone else!?

and you can't help but be amazed. So much development took place around figuring out just who Cloud was and despite it all, he maintained his integrity and was still a pillar of all the characters. What can I say, he's a great guy.

Close on his heels, however, are Aeris, Vincent and Cid.

Tifa is a cool character but I think Aeris has a much nicer personality.

I chose Aeris because she's a great character even though she lacks in the physical department, but Tifa excels there. Cloud, Tifa, and Aeris makes a great party in Disc 1.

Hmmm, it's a toss up between Yuffie and Cait Sith. XD I'd have to put Cid and the Turks up there also though.
They're all great characters, hard to pick just one.

I'm going to have to go with TaintedWeapon on this one. Vincent is just one of the best characters in the game and this game wouldn't be as good without him.

Hey, this is my first post and i was jus wondering what all the other FF7 fan's out there's Favorite character's are.

Mine has got to be Vincent Valentine/Cloud Strife/Cid Highwind, they also make an amazing team.

if zack was on the list him, but since he isnt Vincent with Cloud and Tifa tied for second.

Vincent, cuz he has a tragic storyline (like Cloud)and a dark side (like Cloud), but he doesn't mope about, feel sorry for himself, randomly spaz out and help Sephiroth or go insane for any period of time. Plus his limit breaks are all cool (continous and melee), and he's the best drawn character.

Aeris is definitely my pick. She just so kind and sweet you just can't help not hating her.

Red XIII and Cid are tied. both are really cool and weild sweet weapons. who'd thought that a berret could do so much damage?

Tough call. I like all the characters, just because I have such a strong attachment to the game, but agree with earlier posts that they could have been better developed.

If we're going with playable characters only, then I would have to choose Cloud. I like his story, and I identify with him in a lot of ways: amibition because of falling short in past goals, looking to others for inspiration, trying to find oneself, and a good-natured personality hidden behind a cool (sometimes cold) exterior.

But if we're going with non-playable characters, I might have to choose Rufus, just 'cause he's frickin' cool. Dude has pet panthers, a shotgun, personal helicopter, and a spiffy white suit. Thumbs up in my book.

Cid. It is funny when he freaks out and cusses at everything that moves. He uses a cool spear and one of them (the Scimitar) has Triple Materia growth.

Nicely put, I agree 100%.

I was always partial to Cloud. I liked his hair and characters that use swords. Tifa and Cid would tie for second favorite.

Im going with Vincent. Hes the dark one and he barley talks. also in FF7-2 he kiks azz
