The Lion King, specifically the scene with the stampede.

I still get upset when I see that scene! Very upsetting.

Most upsetting is probably in Braveheart. He's found the woman he wants to spend the rest of his life with, they're deeply in love..

then some soldier says she's a trouble maker, ties her to a wooden post casually, like she's the lowest form of life on the planet, in front of the town and slits her throat and says that'll teach you all, don't do it again... how sick is that?

saying that scene was upsetting is an under statement. And of course it was right in front of her lover. grrr.

First is Forrest Gump, I almost cried when his wife died.
2nd is Green Mile, it's so sad.
3rd, Beauty and the Beast.
4th, Bambi still gets me crying.
5th, Men in Black 2, at the end when the princess goes back to the moon is so freakin' sad... sad.gif

1. The end of Resident Evil: Apocolyps made me very angry because a huge company like umbrella would nuke a city with a power plant near by to cover up a mistake like that in real life. And dont say they wouldnt.

2. Dances with Wolves. The part where the tribe finds

the heard of buffalo slaugtered with only the hides taken and the rest left to rot in the sun
.

We need to make a "happiest movie moment" thread to counter this sad one, dont ya think?

3. GRAVE OF THE FIRE FLIES-...*chokes up* I...I....*sobs*

4. Notebook- hear me out.....it was at the end when dealing with the older people, made me think of my grandparents and their love for each other.

5. River runs through it- happy and sad. cried for both reasons!

At the risk of being called a wiigger (Which I most certaintly AM NOT) I'm gonna go out on a limb and say

towards the end of Boyz N The Hood when Ricky gets murdered
was pretty damned powerful. Powerfully upsetting. Very emotional.

Also, even though it wasn't a very good movie, Al Pacino as Michael Corleone in all his grief
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
after his daughter is killed
is moving. He's screaming and wailing and then it ends with him thinking back on all the women in his life and he passes away. Very touching. Mediocre movie, awesome way to end the trilogy.

I was just disappointed with Resident Evil as a movie. Period. What is it with games being released as movies? Same with FF: TSW.

Then you'd probably hate this. I've also heard rumors about Halo and Soul Calibur movies in production, but I have limitless doubts.

Oh, and was Alone in the Dark (released earlier this year, I think) based off that classic computer survival horror series? I remember having the first one for Mac when I was around ten years old and scaring the bejeezus out of me (I generally scare easy, but still).

Yes, it was. I haven't seen it, but apparently it's pretty bad (surprise!), which is a damn shame given the underrated greatness of the games.

So what movie is it?  Why, The Fox and the Hound.  A little ways from the end, when the old lady drops off the fox (his name escapes me at the moment) in the nature preserve and then "abandons" him there - gets me every time.

Possible spoilers: highlight to view
I agree wholeheartedly. The whole "Todd And Copper are enemies!" thing never really got to me that much, but watching the old lady drop Todd off in the forest, with that strange song/monolouge going on in the background... Heartbreaking.

I forgot a few movies as well... I remember after the scene in Return of the King, where Sam and Frodo lay down and expect to die on Mount Doom after destroying the ring, I didn't stop crying for the rest of the movie. Even after they got saved, and there was that big shiney elven cerimony, I was still crying. It was more tears of joy then, but meh.

Also, Millenium Actress was a big tearjerker... It's a bit of a little known anime if you were wondering. It's about this actress who spends her whole life searching for a man she fell in love with when she was a child. It has a very, very emotional ending.

For some reason I had some major tearjerkers when I was little. The two I remember the most is Bambi when Bambi's mother is killed and Old Yeller when they have to kill him. I cried all night both times.

As for my older years, I would say Gettysburg when they are showing Picketts Charge and you basically witness 55,000 Americans being slaughtered by each other.
