Are you talking about in general or are you fighting all four at once in the giant?

I'm assuming you're in the giant for this, right? I don't know how you got there so fast but I'll assume you did. Well, I can't give you any sure fire ways of doing this 'cause I've never been at such a low level then but I can give some pointers. You probably know these already but maybe they can help:

1. Weaknesses change when the fiends transform and they are the same as when you frist fought them. Lit for Cainazzo, Cold and Ice for Rubicant ect. Since your at Lv 28 you probably don't have much MP so I'd reccomend switching inbetween elemental swords. If you think the double the base battle power with the weapon is worth it that is.

2. Don't cast Meteo, period. The fiends eat "Meaty-Os!" for breakfast, lunch and dinner. (If you don't get what I mean, click on the link. It gave me a chuckle laugh.gif .)

3. Take advantage of FoSoYa, he's got just about every spell in the game. It makes him useful.

4.
Possible spoilers: highlight to view
For Rydia only. Did you get Bahamut from the moon yet? If you did, he will hit the fiends for big damage. If you got Sylph from the Sylven caves, they might help too because they damage one enemy and the party absorbs the HP. Kinda like a Flare, Cure x cross. Kinda.

That's all I've got that won't lower your chances of winning other battles. Well that's not entirely true, I guess you could always level up. However, since you're asking for advice, I don't think you want to do that.

I'm not quite sure he's in the Giant, since I remember getting a level 50 FuSoYa by default.

My biggest problem. (yes I am in the Giant)... With FF 2, since I was 9 yrs old, I hated all the random battles, which I believe it had the most out of all the games. I just run away from them all. My entire party is weak, however, I sold the element equip and rydia keeps dying shortly after edge.

you should level up a bit, otherwise you should explote the weakness of the enemys to the fullest possible, and having Rosa and casting the max cure spells you have all the time, and why not a shell and protect? put the two fighters in the front row , FuSoYa do the black magic and be merciless.

How can people like a game but hate the random battles? That's like liking DDR but hating music.

I thought that battle was really easy actually... and why was Wind last? Why not Fire? He actually had a little personality to him.

Anyway, sounds like you shouldn't be playing the game at all man. I think you'll have to level up if you want to ever beat the Fiends. I'm wondering how you got through the giant... I thought getting through the giant was harder than the Fiends. Oh well.
