They all are cool except Esper Cave, Floating Land, Kekfa's Tower, and Phoenix Cave... I liked the WOR leveling up part the most because I only put Locke and Celes in my party (If you what I mean smile.gif ) and make them train all the way up to LV 60 and get 6000 or more max health for EACH.

My favorite part is when you can fly everywhere... just before Esper Cave, you have the freedom to fly about the world :-) The beautiful soon to die WOB>

Yes, my favorite part is also when you first have complete control over the airship and you can go anywhere you want. The world is your oyster, and there are so many things you can do and places you can go.

I love all of them, really. Well, except for leveling up after you've gotten everyone late in the WoR. Most of the time I'm at a decent enough level to just skip going to the dinosaur forest though.

I love the late WOR. Just because that's when you really feel like you've completed just about everything. Plus, being level 99 is neato!

Hey guys. Newcomer here to these forums, but a long-time peruser of the GameFaqs forums, but this topic just forced me to register because I was thinking about it today.

Personally, my favorite part of FF3 was the time up until you get the first esper, with the climax being the Decisive Battle. Each character's strengths and differences were highlighted (without the equalizing effects of magic-for-all), and everyone was a lot more developed (something sorely lacking from the latter half of the game).

If I could take one part of the game, and expand it into its own stand-alone game, it would definitely be the pre-Esper game. Possibly showing the rise of the Empire, and the birth of the Returners.

I enjoyed the solitude at the very beginning of the WOR, and the opera house in the WOB. Training at the end of the WOR is fun too. I got all 14 characters to level 99. biggrin.gif

I agree with you guys who said the wolrd is your osyter thing. It's fun when you get to that point in an FF game where you can do basically whatever you want. tongue.gif

Even Steven city here.

Since my favorite aspect of the game is the whole multi-party thingamajig, I love the 3 party trek through Kefka's tower more than anything. The whole game is so thoruoghly enjoyable however, that neither kick nor scream when making this point, but instead act happy and uber-chill. happy.gif cool.gif

I loved Kefka's Tower. Creating three teams actually gives you a reason to round up the rest of the team after you get the airship, instead of plunging directly into the tower. The Tower is easily the best final dungeon in the FF games.

I enjoyed the Esper Cave. You think that you are going to defeat the Evil Empire by releasing the Espers and killing everything, then they go Beserk. You also get the Atma Weapon and can fight a Ninja as much as you want. Then you get the Dinner Part, where you can earn lots of free weapons, armor, relics, and money.

Could you repeat that?

My favorite part was mid-WOR, getting all your characters and learning about their pasts.

For some reason I either lose interest in the later parts of the games (FF-wide) or it seems that the gameplay is almost too open-ended--it seems like at that point in the game you're just running around completing a laundry list of errands and the game loses the anticipation of what's coming next... But maybe it's just that I've played it a million times.

Personally I like the earlier part, beginning to Esper cave. But I also agree with an earlier post in that I love the strategy of Kefka's tower and optimizing each team with stong and weak characters to use their talents to the fullest potential instead of just forming an uber-party.
