My favorite combo was always Genji Glove & Offering with Drainer & Atma Weapon. It's not the most efficient setup, damage-wise. I just like to see those two swords working in unison--the Drainer charging the Atma--and both of them look ridiculously cool!

This was a tough one, Ribbon+Safety Bit is usualy on all of my people but I choose the Econimizer+Gembox combination. This pair of relics allows you to combine any two magic spells in the game, without fear of running out of MP. Here are just some possibilities.:
Ultima+Ultima=Total destruction. Ultima+Cure 3 Healing+Damage= Easy Victory. (Mertron+Mertron)+(Fire Sheild*3+Paladin Sheild) Almost the same as Ultima/Cure 3 * 2 but not quite. Remedy+Remedy= Quick status healing. Unicorn can only be used once after all. I reccomend Ribbons all round instead but this is the next best thing. Remedy+Cure 3= Total healing of one character and maybe some extra healing to others. Hey, with Gembox/Econimizer you can't have ribbons on everybody. Haste 2 + Slow 2= Total speed domination. Unfortunalty, I think these spells wear off, I can't quite remember. But even if you need to reaply this combo, X4 speed advantage is something you don't want to miss out on. A fully automatic party (Achiveable with Mog, Gau, Umaro and Gogo) will get off to a better start too. Not that I reccomend a fully automatic party. NOTE: Slow and Slow 2 won't work on most bosses. All of this and more, also it only costs two MP per combo. Just think of all of the havoc and destrucion you could do with such power. Too bad there is only one Gembox. That's why I use Ribbon+Safety Bit on the rest of my characters, they just cover all of your bases so nicely. This post has been edited by Tonepoet on 22nd December 2004 03:42 -------------------- |

Dragoon Boots/Dragon Horn on Mog with a holy-elemental lance is lethal late in the game, and I love getting those 4-hit, same damage back row kills. Plus he doesn't get hit much and every now and then you get a random-cast Holy spell. I know other combos are better technically, but hey, I still like it.

Offering/genji glove, best way to beat chupon for those elixirs. Either that or offering/black belt when solo leveling a character. I like that one also.

If I remember correctly, it's also possible to cast hundreds of spells in succession using this relic [the gem box & economizer] combo (and thus essentially win any battle in a single turn) by making use of the "Quick" spell. Definitely the Offering/Genji Glove. Way overpowered. The Sprint Shoes/Moogle Charm combo is one I'm rarely without.

Close but not quite. Actualy, it is many turns that you take as quick only fills up your speed bar again, allowing you to make multiple actions. That means there is a pause inbetween turns. Also, the Gembox also has a short pause inbetween the casting of spells. That means that the Gembox+Econimizer+Quick combo isn't invincable, just useful to a degree. I know because I've tried this once in the final battle, by useing Ultima over and over. Lets just say, it didn't turn out as well as I thought it would. The process is simple:
Take Locke, or whoever your favorite character is (I use locke) and give them espers that have Vigor + 1 or Vigor + 2 (stop at 128) and then equip him with the Genji Glove, Offering, Atma Weapon and the Valiant Knife; his high Vigor will ensure high damage, unless he is dangerously low on HP. The Atma Weapons high damage with high HP balances the high damage with low HP of the Valiant Knife. While building his Vigor, its yields more damage to have him low on HP, though as his Vigor increases, he will kill everything. -------------------- Fierce Legends Software Battle Designer Fierce Legends Software Website Fierce Legends Software Forums Please post in our forums; we are in need of help and input as we develop the Final Fantasy VI Prequel. |
