Hello, I'm looking to replace Celes in my FFVI game with the adult Rydia from FFIV, and obviously, the only usable sprites I can find of her are from the battles in FFIV (her overworld FFIV sprite is, for those who don't know, far too small and ugly). Anyone know where I can find a FFVI-style sprite sheet of her walking, etc? Or am I going to have to do what I've been putting off, and create the sprites myself?

FF IV has a set of sprites far smaller then FF VI has. So even if you could find them, they'd be the product of another person.
Obviously you'll have to do this yourself. You can't produce a hack even vaguely interesting to other people if you just take stuff and put it together. -------------------- |

I found one and only one via a google image search. It is with allot of other Final Fantasy VI style sprites. Just a little fair warning is that almost all of them look fuzy. Anyway, here's the link to the site. There's a big ad on the top of the page so scroll down a little (Well allot, the ad is huge.) and the sprite should be somewhere in the row entitled "Final Fantasy 4". I didn't realy have to look hard, my keywords were, rydia sprite. Anyway, I hope this helps you ghaleon1103.

Most excellent, Tonepoet!!
I saw that site over a year ago when I was working with RPGM2k3, but when trying to find it (on google, no less) a few days ago, every search I ran for, well, "FFVI FFIII ff3 ff6 final fantasy custom sprite" usually only turned up with reviews of sprite sheets for the original FFVI characters, which I already have. I suppose adding "Rydia" into the mix would have been the logical thing to do... But thank you very much for the selfless effort! I know it's only a google search involving the typing of a few words and a look at a site or two, but it's evidently much more than some others are willing to give. ![]() Thanks again, lots and lots!! ![]() This post has been edited by ghaleon1103 on 19th January 2005 06:47 -------------------- I don't pee in your pool, so please don't flame on my post. |
