okay if the charectors where real what do you think theyed do after the game goes off. You know something like "geez i thought he'd never leave" or something like that. just a little something i have been wondering about.

You all know they're running off and hitting the "Cafe" In South Figaro. Either that or having Chocobo Races. Maybe the two in combination...

So, heres my theories upon what happens after the very end. Spoilered for blatant reasons.

Terra:Outcome 1)Terra went back to Mobliz and invented the word 'Babysitter'. She only did this so the children of Mobliz could hire soemone else and allow her to spend her share of all the GP on ciggarettes and gin.
Outcome 2) See 'All' section
Outcome 3) Terra was eaten by a giant bat three years after the end of the game.
Locke: 1) Locke and Celes "did things" after the game. Things including playing pool and darts and stealing treasure. But they did not include the things you were thinking of unless its Pool, darts, or treasure theft.
2) See 'All' Section
3) Locke was eaten by weremoogles.
Edgar: 1) Edgar remained king, and did kingly things. Henry the 8th things.
2) Don't bother seeing the 'All' section. Edgar was busy.
Sabin: 1) Sabin became a renowed martial artist. After helping his brothers many divorces through, however, he became a "maritial arsonist" as Figaroans call divorce lawyers.
2) Don't see 'All' either.
Mog 1) Mog went to a small town and became mayor. Don't ask why, but when a 4 foot tall ball of fur threatens to kill you all, you vote him mayor.
2) Yes, you can check 'All' for Mog.
Gau 1) Gau developed strong feelings for one of his former companions during the game : Money. He became an infamous bank robber. Before his death from catching pianos (on the head in a freak accident) he stole a total of forty banks.

3) Gau rather lamely lived up to fanfic cliché #45 and eventually married Relm.
Cyan: 1) Cyan refounded Doma with the peoples of smaller towns and villages you never visted.
2) See 'All'
3) As 1, but he used a group of gingerbread men baked in Figaro and went mad.
Leo: Arose from the grave after that nice 'Parasol' company turned out not to be nice at all and developing somethign called a "Tea virus".
Celes: 1) See Locke
2) see Al
3) Celes was a weremoogle and ate Locke.
Setzer: 1) Setzer was arrested for speeding and was last seen in a cell with a big bald bloke called Ben.
2) See 'All'
3) Setzer gambled his way across the world before Gau stole the bank all his savings were in.
Relm: 1) Relm became an artist, rather obviously.

3) See Gau.
Strago: Strago had a heart attack. He fought back however and kicked the hearts ass back to where it came from. he lived to 110, when he was struck by lighting whislt hiding in a grain silo full of petrol. Amazingly, he died of pnumoneia.
2) Strago didn't bother showing up, so ignore 'All' for him
Shadow: 1) Shadow was crushed to apuld by falling masonry
2) Shadow escaped, allowing you to now see 'All'
3) Shadow escaped, but was abducted by aliens.
All: The entire party met up for a reunion in a secluded spot, where they were frozen in time (except Terra, who was frozen in Thyme after she was buried under a freak rainfall of herbs) for the conveinece of rather lazy Fanfic writers who want to set their fic in the far future so there can be lasers and stuff but keep the old characters.

Hopefully this will answer that question once and for now.

Locke: Locke will work at Treasure Hunter Inc., where he would sell treasures he found to people for GP. Every Saturday and Sunday he goes to hunt treasures. When he's done working, he goes home and wants Celes to "make him happy." So they take off their clothes and you know what I mean

Celes: Same with Locke's except she will work at a runic knight school to teach her students how to unleash the secrets of the runic blade.

Terra: She would start making clothes at a knitting shop.

Edgar: He would make new tools at his castle to sell for his people and he would then hunt animals for food.

Shadow: He will go to the Colloseum and keep fighting alot. If he runs out of items, he will sneak in the inn's beds so he doesn't have to pay. Ditto for going out. He would then go to a battle and get some items.

Strago: He would become mayor and build a Mako Reactor to suck the life out of our world!

Relm: She would always play with Interceptor.

Gogo: He will steal people's foods from refrigerators and put them below his bed.

Umaro: He would go and find his ape family.

Mog: He would dance to the ladies.

Gau: He would "leap" on all animals at the Veldt.

Sabin: He will run away again from Figaro and find a girl.

Cyan: He will rebuild his castle and be king.

i always thought locke and celes would be married and she would be spouting out kids like a pez despencer. but that is just my opion, also realm and gau get married so do edgar and terra. sabin i think would go off some place succluded and just disapper. cyan would finaly learn how to use machines, and be crushed as he trys to remake magi tek armor. umaro and mog would get married i always thought mog was a girl not a guy. gogo would go on the road as a street clown and mimic people for money till he is run over be a heard of chocobos. setzer loses everything on a rigged hand of poker and is forced to live the rest of his life saying "you want fries with that?" strego is killed by the towns people who cant stand to hear him brage and lie about things anymore. shadow finaly revives his gang and gives realm away at her wedding she marries gau. he later has to put interceptor down when it catches rabis, he then goes made and and goes off to become president shinra. after much time edgar eventally creates a mako reactor but terra blows it up after she finds out he is haveing and affair.

Mog: Someone casted a "Eternal Dance spell" on him in the Caves of Narshe casuing him to Dance forever in the Caves of Narshe (That is until they figure out a way to remove that spell).
Stargo: See Shadow
Gau: See Shadow, also became best friends with Relm
Relm: See Shadow, and became the best artist in the World also became friends with Gau
Setzer: Built a large chin of Casinos, then Gogo reveales who she is and it is ....Daryl and they probaly um marry.
Umaro: Went back to his cave
Gogo: See Setzer.

There you have, my opinions.

Here's my ideas:
Terra: Finding all of the children destroyed in the last burst of Kefka's "Light of Judgement" she turns into esper form, thus destroying herself.
Locke: Marries Celes, and after 2 weeks, she finds him cheating on her and casts Ultima on him.
Edgar: Uses his chainsaw to try and figure out what Gogo really is. The remains are accidently eaten by Gau, making him go insane.
Sabin: Gets into a barfight with Umaro over Mog and loses. He spends the rest of his life beating up "crazy old guy" NPCs.
Shadow: Proves in court that he is Relm's real father and takes her away from Strago.
Cyan: Edgar hires him as Captain of the Guard for Figaro Castle, but gets caught in the engine room trying to dismantle the engine and is sent to jail.
Gau: Takes after his father and becomes a "crazy old guy" NPC.
Celes: See Locke.
Setzer: Kept all of the cash gathered throughout the game and starts his own airship corporation.
Strago: Hides in his house in Thamasa after losing Relm and is never heard from again.
Relm: Paints a pictue that is so magnificent that she doesn't stop painting it, and soon dies of starvation.
Mog: Marries Umaro in a desperate attempt to re-populate the Moogle species. When they find out that the cross-breed is Gogo, they banish him in a Zone-eater that (in a complicated way that I'm too lazy to describe or even think up) sends him/her/it back in time.
Umaro: See Mog.
Gogo: See Edgar.

... Those are my happy endings!

I always thought the ending was lacking the "this is what happens to everyone" feeling that FF4 did. However, I would like to fully support SpriteMeister's conclusions.

there were only 2 adults left when Terra arrived there after the Floating Continent. All the adults had died trying to save the children, until only Kathrine and I forgot his name were left. Terra fell from the sky and helped build Mobliz back, partly all the while taking care of everyone. Then Sabin and Terra came back and couldn't get her to leave even after Phunababa. Until you return later and convince her that, while Kefka lives, the children are in danger.

Shadow

, she returns to Jidoor and finishes the painting, then becomes a famous Artist with Interceptor

Shadow: Miraculously survives, lands on some island and finds what seems to be an old Imperial Stockpile, with a boat, lots of money, weapons, armor, and hundreds of MagiTec armor suits. He becomes richest person and gives Thasma a donation that has enough to rebuild the town, not listing his name. Then he turns his Island into a resort and tries to find his daughter, dog, and Strago.

Gogo: reveals herself as Daryl and with Setzer, hire Locke to steal all the airship pieces that the annoying kid bought from the Auction house; then have Celes release leafers around the kids house so he can't leave; then Setzer would buy the remaining pieces from the auction house and put the Blackjack back together. He and Daryl race again.

Setzer: see Gogo, eventually proposes to Daryl, she accepts.

Edgar: Returns to Figaro and hires Cid to improve Figaro. Later Edgar is married.

Sabin: Goes on quest to Suplex every creature, inculding birds, and that annoying Rhondex squirrel thing.

Gau: Offers Sabin advice on the Rhondex quest. Returns to the Veldt to find a million GP which Clyde and Baram had stolen.

Locke: Marries Celes and becomes a professional thei...Treasure Hunter, Buys a house in North Maranda, the new city.

Celes: See Locke. Helps with treasure hunting, invites Cid over as much as possible.

Cid: Works in Figaro designing new energies to replace magic. Researches about his ancestor Cid, who built the first airship until the knoledge was lost. **coughcoughFF4hackwheeze**

Terra: Returns to Mobliz, helps the children move to Doma (thank you Ultros).

Cyan: Becomes King of Doma, organizes Knights of the Oval Table.

Umaro: Helps rebuild Narshe which then belongs to Moogles and Sasquach.

Mog: Returns the Moogles back to Narshe from the mountains near Pheonix Cave, (don't know how they got there). Then learns new dance from crazy old guy, see Sidequest forum, then defeats the Dark Moogle, a servant of Kefka and threat to the world.

That is how it ends, though some other characters get married and stuff.

Edgar: As king of the only remaining stable country, old Eddy boy is thrust into the position of rebuilding the tattered world, spending the next decade or so sending foriegn aid to Doma, Mobiliz, and the former Imperial cities, and leading military campaigns to crush Kefka's remaining followers. Invents some cool new gadgets to rejuvenate the economy. Marries some rich, famous chick like Maria or that high preistess, and fathers plenty of heirs.

Sabin: Starts a new martial arts group with Duncan. A mysterious guy named Clyde joins about a year later, becomes their star pupil, and takes Duncan's place after his death as co-trainer. Sabin stops by every once in awhile to say hi to Edgar, and assists him in kicking Kefka's remaining followers' asses.

Terra: Helps kids in Mobiliz, with the help of foriegn aid from Figaro. Despite the disappearance of magic, she still retains a few esper-like qualities.

Locke: Appointed by Edgar to be provisional governor of Miranda while Figaro's armies help rebuild the city. He hates desk jobs, but goes anyway as a favor to Edgar.

Celes: Edgar appoints her provisional governor of Tzen and Albrook during reconstruction. Hooks up with Locke for awhile, but it doesn't work out. She becomes like Elaine to Locke's Jerry. She eventually marries Setzer, who after all, found her even more stunning than Maria. She moonlights as the star in the Draco opera.

Setzer: Parties too much during the celebration after the defeat of Kefka, and gives up gambling and drinking *cause you know he always takes a swig from his flask between battles and while piloting the airship*. He gives away all his ill-gotten gains to help rebuild, becoming a philanthropist. This good deed is what wins over Celes.

Cyan: Becomes king of Doma, spends the rest of his life rebuilding the kingdom. Eventually he starts up a partnership with Edgar, building a trans-continental railroad from South Figaro to Nikeah to Doma. When he's not ruling Doma, he's training new Samurai to defend the kingdom. Adopts Gau, and eventually teaches the kid how to function in civilized society. Gau becomes heir to the throne.

Shadow: See Sabin.

Gau: See Cyan.

Strago: Since his lores are naturally occuring magic, he keeps his powers after the rest of magic disappears. He starts a school in Thamasa for others with the Lore ability.

Relm: Keeps painting. Moves to Jidoor when she turns 18, to further pursue her talents.

Mog: Edgar appoints him provisional governor of Narshe during reconstruction. He makes Umaro his bodyguard.

Gogo: Reveals his identity. Elvis. He's Elvis.

Cyan doesn't like 3 foot white animals with little red bouncy things on their heads .

And for Shadow, I think that almost being buried alive under 1000s of rocks would change a person. Maybe not for the better but, in his case, it was.
Now for some of the NPCs

Chancellor of Figaro: Turns to the way of all Chancellors, turns evil and trys to dominate the world. It doesn't work, at all. He is hired as the new Chancellor for the Opera House.

Cult of Kefka: With Kefka gone, they try to redeem themselves by acting like monks chanting, "Pie Iesu domine, dona eis requiem." And hitting themselves with books.

Lonewolf: Writes a book titled, The Art of Thievery, which isn't bought by anyone. Returns to Narshe, only to be thrown down the pit again and again and again.

Yes, why is it no one cares about all the insignificant, unimportant, and uninteresting people?

Matron of Figaro - Being a female over the age of 50 and thus too old to be an object of Edgar's lust, she's kicked out of the kingdom and starts a new life as 'that old chick' in Albrook. During this time she meets many friendly and not-so-friendly passersby as she tells them stories of her youth, how Soylent Green is people, and how she invented the Dewey decimal system. She continues to while away the days snorting 'Choco dust' and drinking the now obsolete Ethers she smuggles out of dumpsters until she falls into a depression and is discovered dead one evening in a back alley -- apparently from a combination of diptheria and massive bottle-opener wounds.

Interceptor - After witnessing Shadow eat a ton of rocks and metal (figuratively speaking) he moves in with Relm and Strago in Thamasa. He soon has his first experience with puppy love and ends up courting a young female schnauzer from across the cul-de-sac. The couple becomes parents to fourteen puppies, and Interceptor -- much like his former master -- hasn't been seen since.

The Figarian Cave Turtle - Tired of people walking -- or rather, jumping -- all over him, he discovers the shore and migrates up and down the mountains all the way to the Kohlingenian Ocean. There he becomes popular to the neighboring sea urchins and forms an aquatic army against the human species out of vengeance. The war is short, lasting approximately two minutes after Turtle unknowingly leads an assault against a heavily-populated seafood bar. His defeat gives way to a special all-you-can-eat buffet for five weeks, ending only because the sanitation level falls to zero and the place is shut down due to customers inexplicably drinking too much water and gagging to death after eating there.

Maria - She remains an opera diva until she's over the hill, gains a lot of weight, takes up drinking, and retires early. She lives in Jidoor to a ripe old age of 72 when she goes under the knife, or in other words gets plastic surgery. She returns to the stage with a new look and new attitude, singing renditions of songs popular 30 years earlier and throwing off her top at the drop of a hat. During this time she marries four different men, divorcing each after only a few days. Not happy with her life, she oversees the building of a rocket in Zozo and volunteers to test pilot it in an effort to appear 'cool' to the rising pop scene. Unfortunately, because people in Zozo couldn't build a cardboard box and get it right and don't know a steering wheel from a Leafer, she's marooned near a faraway planet. She dies peacefully at the age of 86 -- nine years after the tanks run out of oxygen.

Truthful Guy in Zozo - After his short-lived Rust Rid business goes bankrupt (apparently there was only one door rusted shut in the entire world), he turns down the dirty path of his brethren; a life of crime. Thus, because of his contempt for the Opera, he replaces the steering wheel in Maria's rocket with a Leafer.

Old Crazy Guy from Vector: Becomes an Honorary Moogle and never takes off the moogle suit he wears.

Vicks and Wedge: Get out of the maze in an alternate dimension that Tritotch sent them to. There, they meet a fellow named "Gogo" with 4 arms. They get out of there and discover the Empire is gone, so they start a buisness in Zozo, which actually gets customers that pay, possibly because V&W are armed with foriegn weapons from the Alternate Dimension.

Gang of Thieves: Become expert witch-hunters. Even though most magic is destroyed, some of the monsters turned into human-like creatures, so the Gang tries to hunt them, using the logic of Monty Python.

Terra: When she's not taking care of her kids, she's chasing Edgar. For some reason, the King doesn't seem to be interested...but his brother is.
Locke: Gives up treasure hunting for a while and settles down. Soon after their first child, Madonna, is born, he gets that old feeling again. He immediately falls off a cliff and becomes an amnesiac.
Edgar: For the time being, he's the leader of the world's only superpower. It's a tough job, but that's not what's interfering with his normal flirty tendencies. The girl's name is Sara. Yeah, that one.
Sabin: He defeats Vargas, Siegfried, and Shadow in a four-way championship match at the colosseum and gets incredibly rich. With the money, he opens a dojo and pays for the orphans' education. Terra just thinks he's being a nice guy.
Shadow: He survives the collapse of Kefka's tower but won't tell anyone how he did it. After losing the match, he ditches the mask and reveals himself to Relm and Strago. Relm gets pissed and (ineffectively) rats him out.
Cyan: Letting the past go, he departs Doma Castle to become the leader of a new settlement located in the Veldt. His attempts to civilise Gau don't work out so well, although there is a marked improvement in his speech.
Gau: He talks better, but his place is still with the monsters of the Veldt. Through his influence, Cyan's settlement is safe from monster attacks.
Celes: After Locke doesn't come home, Celes is left with Madonna. The two wander the world for a long time, searching for love and father, and doing a little adventuring. Along the way, it is dicovered that Madonna has inheirited the Runic ability.
Mog: In the course of attempting to revive the moogle species, he comes across Locke. Mog plays a nasty prank on him and convinces him he's Gogo.
Setzer: Edgar places him in charge of the royal space program, despite his objections and lack of scientific knowledge. Figaro has yet to produce a successful space vehicle.
Strago: About ten minutes after Shadow reveals himself, he has a massive stroke. He doesn't die from it, but he's no longer in any condition to fight. He spends the rest of his days in peace...aside from Relm's constant swearing, of course.
Relm: A painting she started before Kefka was destroyed comes to life and comes under the influence of former Cult of Kefka acolytes. The threat is eventually neutralized by a force under the reluctant command of Celes.
Umaro: He runs around roaring and hurts things.
Gogo: Turns out to be Locke sent through a temporal anomaly created by the Cult and the rogue painting. Understandably, everyone goes postal on him.
Interceptor: Shadow had neglected to neuter his dog, and la familia Arrowny is soon the proud owner of 25 little mongrels. Then they neuter him.

Gogo: gets unmaked by a random person and turns out to be non other then.....MEWTWO!

Mewtwo: went to the Colosseum and became no.1 fighter in the Colosseum.

Mog: Moves to Viridian Forest and his cave becomes "Pikachu Cave" because most of the pikachus moved there.

Relm: returned to Jidoor and became Owzer's helper

Sabin: wents the mountins for more training

Setzer: went to Tzen and created a gamble building and and had lots of fun playing the games.
Shadow: Lefted behind at Kefka's Tower and died when the tower falls

Strago: Died of a heart attack

Umaro: became a colosseum fighter and won 5 golden belts.
but he lost one of his gold belts to Mewtwo when Mewtwo took him out with a hyper beam, psychic, and recover

Terra: Takes care of the kids in Mobliz, what else?

Edgar: Settles down at last, stops chasing girls, but unfortunately gets into a fist-fight with Sabin over who's wife is prettier, and ends up sporting a black eye. Has a son to lead Figaro when he keels over.

Sabin: Sabin goes back to Mount Kolts, visits South Figaro, marries a pretty, if mute girl named Rhia, has a son and two daughters. Sabin totally beats up Edgar in the above mentioned fist fight. Sabin teaches his kids how to Blitz, and ends up regretting it for the rest of his life as they use 'big strong Daddy' as a practice punching bag. Ouch.

Cyan: Gets bored at the ruins of Doma castle, and decides to get his lazy butt in gear, asking Edgar for a job as a swordsman or body guard at the castle.

Celes: Goes to Kohlingen with Locke, spends the night over doing things I will not mention, and are married the next day. Over the course of many quarrels, and many making ups, which are very enjoyable for Locke, they have seven, count em seven, kids. Most of them thieves just like dear old dad.

Locke: Life is consisiting of many quarrels with Celes, many making ups with Celes, and then, as a result, having to change diapers for every new baby. Thieving raids, of course, are his main choice of entertainment, after Celes says that he can. After they are certain that no more kids are forthcoming, Locke settles for having weekly reunions with Sabin and Edgar, his good pals.

Umaro and Mog: Set out on a quest to uncover the secret identity of Gogo. After many run-ins, Gogo is finally cornered and unmasked... as a giant one-eyed monkey!!

Gogo: It's mentioned above, that is Gogo the One-eyed monkey's future and doom. Umaro has an appetite for monkeys, strangely.

Gau and Relm: Gau is perpetually heart-sick over Relm, who pays him no attention at all and stays with Shadow, after Strago dies of heart failure. Poor Gau.

Setzer: Finally meets his doom. After proposing to Terra, and Terra knocks him out, he drowns his sorrows by going way to fast in an airship, and gravity catches up with him. Crashes in the Figaro desert, right on top of Figaro Castle, killing Edgar's only daughter, and Edgar, in a paternal rage and with no remorse whatsoever, takes care of that. When Edgar gets mad, you stay out of firing range, or so Sabin says.

The ninja alights on a rocky outcropping on Mount Koltz, surveying his territory. Satisfied he gets up, and starts his walk home expecting a signal from the desert of Figaro, but...

"Sabin Rene Figaro! Get your head out of the clouds and come home for dinner!! And get rid of that ninja outfit!"

Locke goes insane and ends up on a killing spree saying "CALL ME TREASURE HUNTER!!! I'M NOT A THIEF!!!" or something alone those lines. The poor guy couldn't catch a break really, he finally gets on Celes' good side and BAM the world goes into ruin. Then a failed attempt with the phoenix esper. Sooner or later something was going to push him over the edge.

Terra: Returns to Mobliz, only to find the kids have developed a Peter Pan mentality and don't want a Mom/Babysitter anymore. Not having the magical abilities she'd had her whole life, wanders around for a while before going crazy.

Locke: Marries Celes, realizes married life is much worse than dating, disappears one day and is never seen again.

Edgar: Continues ruling, finally gets married... after making a few changes to the polygamy laws of Figaro.

Sabin: Goes back to train with Duncan, realizes the old man can't teach him anything else, heads for the Colosseum to make a living.

Celes: Is disappointed by Locke's abandonment, decides to give up on men, last seen intimately involved with Maria.

Shadow: Returns to Colosseum, becomes undefeated title champion. Then comes Sabin in the Colosseum's best battle ever...

Cyan: Gets possessed by Kefka's ghost, becomes leader of Neo-Kefka uprising, conquers half of world before his dead wife and son save his soul (again).

Gau: Almost returns to Veldt, is lured back by Edgar with lots of candy, hereafter displayed as "Wild Boy of the Veldt" in a musuem.

Setzer: Keeps trying to kidnap Maria and make her his wife, finally pisses off Maria's new lover Celes so much she sabotages his airship and causes him to crash into the ocean.

Mog: Returns to Narshe, tries to rebuild only to be ignored as a "cute little Moogle". Later found guilty in mass murder of 26 people, sentenced to multiple consecutive life sentences.

Strago: Dies mysteriously. Relm claims it a heart attack... despite being seen with poisons shortly before his death.

Relm: Becomes world-famous artist until new-wave "Post-Post-Apocalypism" sets in.

Umaro: Gets acting gig as Bigfoot in blockbuster hit "Bigfoot Strikes!", becomes multi-millionaire, retires to remote mountains to continue bone-carving hobby.

Gogo: Finally reveals its identity... to be none other than a damn imp (yes, one of the infamous FF1 imps). Is subsequently shunned by everyone else.

Setzer creates Royal Airships Inc. and become the richest people ever until setzer's gambling debts and risky business practices catch up to him and he winds up in debters prison.

Locke and Celes marry and become world famous actors. but a year later Rachels ghost starts contacting Locke quite frequently and Locke doesnt tell Celes. Celes suspects infidelity and cast and irreversible imp spell on Locke and a messy divorce soon follows. locke then kills himself and reunites with rachel and they live happily ever after.

Terra takes care of the little children and starts an orphanage and an adoption service. wow

Strago finds out that shadow is relms father but shadow denies it and refused to take care of relm. afterwards strago goes to ebot rock alone and dies fighting Hidon. Shadow then sends relm to terra's orphanage and never sees her again.

Mog Starts a school of dance that does so well that he buys Royal Airships Inc.
and starts a traveling dance troop that people pay big bucks to see.

Gau teachs an english class at terras orphanage and does irrreversible damage to the english language.

With Umaros help ultros pays off his debts and the two start a monsters rights campaign. poor monsters.

Edgar remains king of figaro castle. meh.....

Gogo reveals himself to be sabins evil twin and kills sabin.
