This is a Trivia question topic similar to the ones in the FF sections, except that it is about Mario games.
The rules are the same as those in the FF6 trivia thread Quote Trivia rules: 1) One question on the board at a time please. 2) You may post a new question ONLY if you get the previous question correct. 3) Only post a new question after the question poser has confirmed an answer is correct or is satisfied the answer is sufficient. 4) Follow the normal board rules for off-topic posts. Questions about the current question or answer are still welcome. 5) Do not start a chain of answers (i.e. If Mario asks question one, and a goomba answers, Mario can not answer the following question, whether it be asked by the goomba or anyone who the goomba passes the question to). 6) Have fun. The first question: In Super Mario World, how does Mario destroy each castle? This post has been edited by Neal on 27th February 2005 17:38 -------------------- When life gives you lemons... SQUIRT THEM IN PEOPLES EYES! Mwahahahahaha! *Squirt* Ow! Hey, that was my job! *Squirt* Knock it off! *Squirt* I want my mommy! [A] - He jumps/stomps on them.
[Q] - In Mario RPG, what is the name of the koopa who trains with Jinx? -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

MARIO TRIVIA!!! Yeah, Mario rocks
![]() Now that is a hard question because in Super Mario World, he destroies each castle differently. I can't remeber the number order but because that isn't part of the question, I'll list all the ones I can think of. • Jumps on them. • Chips some of them away with a hammer • Wipes some of them away with a brush of some sort. • Kicks #4 away leaving a boo boo on a hill. • Blows some up with TNT and ending up a little fried himself. • Fortresses with the Reznor(Is that the right enemy name?) just collapse after the Reznor is defeated. • Last but not least, Bowser's castle isn't destroied, neither the front door or the back. -------------------- |

"Jumpman".
Aren't we still waiting for Tonepoet's answer to be confirmed (since I'm pretty sure it's correct)? C'mon, guys, he said what the rules are in the first post. Don't break them, or I'll close the thread.

I'll second SF's opinion: I'm pretty sure Tonepoet's right, and it is still SM's question.

I was mostly right but I was wrong. Here's the proper order.
#1 Blown up via a detonator. #2 Mario jumps on the sides and then the top, turning it into rubble. #3 Chipped away with a hammer. #4 Sent away to a far away hill via rockets, then crashes and leaves bandages in its place. #5 Blown up again, with a self frying twist. #6 Wiped away with a some sort of brush or squeegee, I can't tell which. #7 Picked up and kicked away. (Try beating it with small Mario, it looks hilarious seeing him root up the whole castle and kick it away.) The Reznor Fortresses: All of them collapse almost instantly after the Reznor is defeated, on the world map that is. "Boswer's Castle" A.K.A. Front Door and/or Back Door survives the end of the game. (Watches Peach, Yoshi and Mario/Luigi, walk out of Bowser's Castle and around Dinosaur World foot loose and fancy free with a happy ending theme.) Notes: All except "Bowser's Castle" collapse on the world map and additonaly, the numbered castles each have seaperate cutscenes. #3 might alternately have the brush thing too but I'm not absolutly certain. Even thought I know I'm right, I still have to wait for SpriteMeister's confirmation or 'till sometime tomorrow to ask a question. Also, I might as well make myself useful and quote the rules from the original FF 6 Trivia thread. After all, I don't want this thread being locked, I love Mario and Trivia. Not to mention some new people might not know the rules to Trivia here and might not be able to get to the FF VI Trivia thread to find them out.(Okay so I just provided a link but just to be safe I'll post them here anyways.) Quote FF VI Trivia, Detah 1) One question on the board at a time please. 2) You may post a new question ONLY if you get the previous question correct. 3) Only post a new question after the question poser has confirmed an answer is correct or is satisfied the answer is sufficient. 4) Follow the normal board rules for off-topic posts. Questions about the current question or answer are still welcome. 5) Have fun And a few posts later. Quote FF VI Trivia, R51 I propose that there be a two-day limit on each question and/or a limit of two posts per person per question. I don't think this needs to have pages upon pages of posts for each question. And a question about the rules. Is the two post rule in effect anybody? I don't remember anybody mentioning it. I know the two day limit is in effect. I'm only asking because I'm curious. Edit I missed one. Here it is for the sake of keeping everything together. Quote FF VI Trivia, page 2, Neal Also, I'd like to propose an addendum to the rules -- it'd be nice if person A didn't answer a trivia question if person B asking the current question answered person A's previous question. If that doesn't make sense, it just means that it can't go between two people all the time. I don't think it's happened yet, but this is just to keep it from happening. ![]() This post has been edited by Tonepoet on 12th January 2005 17:51 -------------------- |

Nyerk!
![]() Didn't realise that some people don't know the rules. My bad. Moderator Edit You told them exactly where to find the rules. If they can't do it, it's their fault, not yours. -R51 Correct. Your turn, Tonepoet. Note that the questions may be about any Mario games, not just the old 8-bit and 16-bit ones. Thanks SpriteMiester and with "1500" members, I think there would be at least a couple that don't know the rules.
![]() Now for my question, which one shall I ask . . . I know so much about Mario and his many friends but there is also the fact I can't remember most of it. Well here's a somewhat easy question that I can remember. In what game is there a sprite of a Yoshi wearing a crown? -------------------- |

Crown.... is it the NES puzzle game called "Yoshi"? I'm not sure, my mario knowledge is sort of rusty.

Only in the All-Stars version, though. In the original version the king was something else entirely.

Exactly The Celestial, Yoshi was nonexsistant before the Super Nintendo came out. The answer I was looking for was "Super Mario All*Stars in Super Mario Bros. 3." or something of the like. You're up The Celestial.

Having completely remastered Mario 3 with my roommate this past semester I know pretty much every secret. You simply have to match your coins as a multiple of 11 with your total score 10's place. So 55 coins and 0030150 points for examply. When finishing the level, take care to end it on an even time spot, as each second is worth 50 points.

Well since Tidu-who hasn't asked a question and I didn't answer the last one, I think I'll add another question to the bunch:
In Super Mario World, you usualy end a level by passing a goal post of sorts. On this post is a ribbon that moves up and down. If you hit the ribbon you get a reward of sorts based on how high it is when you hit it. Can you tell me what happens if you hit the ribbon at its three highest points? -------------------- |

Uhhh...28, 29, and 30 of those red bonus stars that go towards accessing the minigame with the rotating blocks? Haven't played the game in years, so that's a wild and sorta bad guess...
