I just recently found this site that shows the true horror of the tragedy. Here is the link, it shows the before and after affects, 16 of them in all.
http://homepage.mac.com/demark/tsunami/9.html Really scary for some of them. -------------------- This is my world: (Got my second chapter up, 3rd Chapter about 80% complete) http://www3.sympatico.ca/daniel876/homepage.html |

Good post, Racthoh. That was floating around work the other day, and I was amazed by the pictures...
http://smh.com.au/news/Asia-Tsunami/NASA-m...s&oneclick=true This article confirms the suspicion that scientists had about the tsunamis. They did indeed travel around 500mph on the way to landfall. *shudders* -------------------- Join the Army, see the world, meet interesting people - and kill them. ~Pacifist Badge, 1978 |

500 mph... just horrifying...
I saw some other pictures but my friend hasn't sent them to me yet. It showed some of the waves just before they hit... massive in size. ![]() -------------------- This is my world: (Got my second chapter up, 3rd Chapter about 80% complete) http://www3.sympatico.ca/daniel876/homepage.html |

I'm kind of proud Jersey officially donated £850,000, especially given that we have a population of 85,000.
There has also been several thousand pounds raised by individual events. But I agree. There's no words for it, other than horrifying and tragic. |
