I just recently found this site that shows the true horror of the tragedy. Here is the link, it shows the before and after affects, 16 of them in all.

This article confirms the suspicion that scientists had about the tsunamis. They did indeed travel around 500mph on the way to landfall. *shudders*

500 mph... just horrifying...

I saw some other pictures but my friend hasn't sent them to me yet. It showed some of the waves just before they hit... massive in size. sad.gif

I'm kind of proud Jersey officially donated £850,000, especially given that we have a population of 85,000.

There has also been several thousand pounds raised by individual events.

But I agree. There's no words for it, other than horrifying and tragic.
