You missed one of Cagnazzo's(FF4US) abilities. It's called "Turtle Form" and Magic damage is reduced. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see much of this because he died one hit later so i couldn't see what effect physical attacks have on him.

There is also an enemy called "Yoshii" That you fight in the programmers room. He says "I'm gonna be a daddy""Cool Huh?""Later", and then the battle ends.
