#1: In most sites that show information on Charecters, they list Edgar and Sabin both as 27 years old. I distinctly remember Sabin calling Edgar "Big Brother" I belive there was even a gag where Terra expressed her disbelief at Sabin being the younger of the two. Was the diolouge mistraslated, the stats screwed up, or is Edgar only a month or so older than Sabin?

#2: Was it in Tzen where a man said, "Our Royal Family was slaughtered by the Empire."?

#3: Was Kefka augmented by magic as Celes was? I can only assume so, since he uses magic against you in Narshe.

Answers to these Questions would be greatly apreciated for a Fanfic I'm thinking of. Thank you.

Edgar and Sabin are supposed to be non-identical twins, Edgar being the elder by a few hours I guess.

Tzen might have had a castle and king before the empire took over. Now all that's left is a small town. That's what I get from it.

I'm pretty sure that's what happened. I think it's either mentioned, or just referred to as common knowledge. Either way, he's supposed to have been augmented, but the procedure made him a little crazy.

#1 In the first flashback at Figaro castle, when you first see Sabin, he does call Edgar his big brother.

# 2 I don't know but I have talked to every NPC in the game at least once. If it was said I forgot

#3 Yes, Kefka was augmented in a similar way to how Celes was. In Vector, check the café at sometime around the Imperial Banquet. It is either as you are coming or going but an NPC will tell you about it. He says somthing like he has valuable/important information and asks you if you want to hear it. I don't remember if it was valuable or important but it was one of the two, at least I think it is. Kefka received Cid's first exparimental MagiTek augmentaion, which at the time wasn't perfected yet. By the time Celes got enhanced the study of MagiTek technology was almost complete so her's is considered to be superior.

I always thought Edgar and Sabin were identical twins, but that Edgar was perhaps a few minutes/hours older. Regardless, they are the same age.

As for question #2: yes, some NPC in Tzen does say that.

Ditto, I thought they were identical twins, although probably have different builds by now. The big brother thing does seem fesible though.

It looks like Edgar is only a few hours or minutes older then Sabin, if at all. Since this could be used for a fanfic, here is a transcript of the scene I was talking about:

[In Figaro Casle after meeting King Edgar, Terra explores the castle and meets the Matron.]

MATRON: EDGAR, has a twin brother. He was such a nice boy . . .

[The secne flashes back to the Figaro Castle Librery. Edgar is sitting down at a table when Sabin (Called YOUTH in the game at this point.) walks into the room. Edgar averts his eyes to look at Sabin.]

YOUTH: Brother. What's wrong with father? What's all this talk about his successor?
EDGAR:[Still looking at Sabin] Are you blind? Look how thin his face has become!
YOUTH: ?. . . . . . What is it?
[Edgar gets up and walks toward the stairs, Sabin fallowing him a few paces.]
YOUTH: Brother!
[Edgar hangs his head down and leaves the room.]
YOUTH: Tears . . . . . . ?!
[The background fades. On the screen it says "Edgar's twin brother who traded the throne for his freedom.". At this point in time you get to name Sabin]

I must have imagined the big part . Maybe I confused it with another scene, I will play through up untill the second flashback and see what happens. If he calls Edgar his "big brother" I post it here and let you know.

Huh. I agree with you Tonepoet, I thought Sabin referred to Edgar as "Big Brother" There... Another significant scene I remember was when you first find Sabin at Mt Kolts. I swear Terra says something about Sabin looking older than Edgar, when really Edgar was the elder of the two...

Sorry. I had previously frequented several sites where the refered anything that didn't have to do with cheats or codes as 'Gameplay.' I considered using Storyline, but I figured that Question #2 had little to do with the actual story and... Yeah... It was a bit of a vocabulary scramble for me.

In answer, the game makes it clear they're twins, and I believe identical at that. Sabin's just really, really buff...

2: No script rip, but there's definitely a man who says that their used to be a royal family in Tzen, until the Empire killed them and placed them under their control. Possibly the reason for declaring martial law in Tzen.

3: None here either, but a man at the cafe in Vector says that Kefka was the first to be Magitek infused, but the procedure made something in him snap and he was never the same after that. Cid later perfected the procedure, so Celes and the other soldiers weren't affected in the same way as Kefka... (it never says it was made "better", it just wasn't as dangerous as Kefka's operation. In fact, Kefka's actually looks "superior": he had far more powers and was more powerful in general than Celes. Leo... Leo just refused to get it done.

Of course, all that was answered already, so, *slaps self*

Just posting here so nobody thinks I forgot about this, after all I did say I would post my transcript tomarrow. There isn't any point to that now though, since Zeph got straight to the point. I wrote down the everything that happened since you meet Vargas at the bottom of the mountain too, even character movements. Thanks Zeph for thinking of me, I just wish I hadn't of wrote everything down now. My hand felt awful when I was doing it last night. You saved me allot of typing and a rewatch of the scene for accuracy. You could have saved yourself some time with rip #1. I already had my transcript down for that five posts up. An accruate one too.(I triple checked the scene on the cart and just two grammerical changes.[ I respaced the spaced the ellipses and corrected the casing of the names.]) I just didn't give the most discriptive notes for movement. Now I am going to spend the time Zeph saved me with a bowel of cereal. Thanks again Zephir.

Curious... Celes appeared to not have a choice becoming a Runic Knight, being augmented at a very young age. Yet Leo is considered noble because he refuesed an infusion. Doesn't it seem minorly contradictory? If Cid/Kefka/Gestal/whoever didn't see any wrong in tampering with Terra, Kefka, and Celes, then why not do the same to Leo?
