Here is a good topic for you:
Who do you think the coolest character in the FFT game is? I think it is Orlandu, because of his awesome swordskill. He can Drain HP, MP, hurt the enemy, and a million other things. He is also good with the two sword ability and battle skill command. ![]() -------------------- "There is not a liberal America and a conservative America - there is the United States of America. I'm sure you can find the exact same topic if you look back a few pages, but for any topic of this nature, I always go with Beowulf and Meliadoul.
Beowulf was my initial favorite character because I love status effects like there's no tomorrow, but when I started to use Meliadoul more than I previously had, I just...started liking her more than any other special character ('sides Beowulf, of course). Her sprite and skills rock, plus she's a woman so she gets the perfume-'n'-ribbon advantage. -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |

I may get heat for this one, but I'm goin' with Duke Dycedarg. He looks cool and I dig his sprite. If he was playable, I imagine he would give Orlandu a fair challenge being a Lune Knight with hard-hitting Holy Sword combined with Mighty Sword and though he lacks Dark Sword, his All-Magic makes up for it.

Ramza is also a very good ninja if you train him with the right skills, such as equip armor and counter.

Its a toss-up between Ramza and Orlandu, and the difference is simple:
Orlandu is obvious because of his wide variety of attacks and high strength; Agrias, Gafgarion, and Mieludol all in one; he's just missing Beowulf's stuff. He can move around and crush anything. Ramza has Scream. While his only major attack is Ultima, which has never been too useful to me, his magic power has never been too high, but get him screaming, and with two Knight Swords, he will run around killing everything. He just gets stronger and stronger with Scream. -------------------- Fierce Legends Software Battle Designer Fierce Legends Software Website Fierce Legends Software Forums Please post in our forums; we are in need of help and input as we develop the Final Fantasy VI Prequel. |

I actually like Wiegraf a great deal. And it isn't just because my brother looks strikingly similar. I know that this sounds weird, but I think in many ways his vengeance is noble. Maybe I'm only saying this 'cuz I got like four hours of sleep last night, but Wiegraf rocks

Well, the post is asking for the "coolest" character... not our favorite or the most powerful.
With that in mind, I have to say that Mustadio is by far the coolest character in the game. He has alot of the attributes of coolness. Let's review. First off, he has a ponytail. As we all know, only men who are rockstars or smelly eurpoeans have long hair. Chalk up one for Mustadio. Second, he has a cool gat that he carries with him. It's a single-shot pea-shooter in the beginning, but it definitely looks intimidating. (kinda like a bazooka, if you ask me) Third, he's from the hood. I mean, he knows his way around the slums of Goug well enough to select the place as his secret rendezvous with Ramza, so of course he's from there! Serious street cred there, man. As you all can see, when it comes to the subject of coolness.... Mustadio Bunanza is the ice cube in your sweet tea. Hmmm.... coolest character....
Well, I haven't played in a long time (my brother just "borrowed" my Playstation.... ![]() Agrias: Holy Sword. Plain and simple. Mustadio: He just looks really cool. Plus, I'll bet you that if you gave him Two Swords, he will become the absolute most powerful member of your party. Add a little Black Magic, and it's over. -------------------- "No matter what happens, I will always be with you... forever." ---- Pocahontas, Pocahontas "Only those who are already at the top are rewarded without trying."----- Delita Hyral, Final Fantasy Tactics http://www.ffshrine.org/fft/fft-midi/1-42-back_fire01.mid ---- My favorite FFT battle song |

The reed flute. Such a lovable little fellow, and makes a sound like a sick hummingbird.

Personally,I'd have to go with elmdor.Even though he plays out a bad guy,he's still one bad ass cookie.I mean think about, being undead and being a vampire must really rock.Plus,he has two girlfriends, celia and lede.He also uses beefed up samurai skills, which make him pretty powerful.Plus,he carries some real sweet equipment. My second favorite charater would probably be balk since he carries some really powerful guns.My third favorite character would probably be beowulf, simply because he can do big damage to zodiac demons with his magic sword drain attack. And finally,Orlandu, simply because of all his swordskills, plain and simple. Two thumbs way way up for these characters.

I'd have to go with Beowulf. When I eventually found him I loved using his abilities. They became so useful (chicken mainly for stealing from Elmdor). Not to mention shock. Start each battle off with Orlandu doing a Lightning Stab on Beowulf. 8 panels of shock goodness.
