Quote (Silverfish @ 2nd June 2005 18:06) :'( that makes me so sad. he made so many awesome songs and compositions (Same thing, i know) I just don't think anyone can do better, in all honestly. No one will ever reach his knowledge of gaming music. |

Maybe not today or tomorrow. But I'm confident someone will make game music that is better in the future. He is indeed a legend though.

Since FFVII, I'd say the quality FF music has been on the decline. There's no doubting his talent, but I believe FFXI, which he took very little part in, has some of the best music out of all the FF games. If there's one thing these newer composers have been able to do, it's have music reflect an atmosphere brilliantly, and I sure hope they stick around, for, in my eyes atleast, FF music will reach a level of quality it hasn't seen in years.

Ever played a Zelda game, or even Tales of Symphonia?
The music in those games are every bit as good as any FF tune. He IS a great composer, though, no doubt. He will be missed. -------------------- "Dance, water, dance!" -Demyx, Kingdom Hearts II "I met my love before I was born..." -AFI, 'Love Like Winter' from 'Decemberunderground' Currently Playing: Guitar Hero, Shadow of the Colossus |

I've known Nobous's leaving since february. But alas, it is still sad.
But If I were him I'd get out too. I miss the good old days, before squaresoft merged with Enix. They had some good classics. Now with Square Enix, its less about the gameplay and more about the glitz and glam. I applaud Nobou for standing up and leaving this inevitable train wreck. I dont think they can survive for more than 4 years without the old developer team and with the current gaming style of square Enix. But, back on subject, I used to drive my dad crazy because I would turn up the music full blast on the tv.. I once left Final fantasy 5 on the menu screen for a half hour listening to "The Battle on the Big bridge" Nobous is a musical genius.
