Please Explain
FFT's Cid would be Cidalfas Orlandu If there is a Cid in FFX (which there probably is), then I apologize. I've never played the game -------------------- "I had to write four novels before they let me write comic books." -Brad Meltzer |

Yeah, there's a Cid in FFX. Couldn't stand him, personally. I voted for FF9's Cid because he was too funny to pass up. I loved his role in the story, particularly in the Desert Palace when you have to dodge the hedgehog pie (I think that was the monster). That was really fun. I also liked him the best as an Oglop, especially when the kids in Treno were going to smash him.

Ah, jeez, how do you pick a favorite Cid? They're all so cool! Yeah, II's didn't have much of a role in the storyline (at least, as far as I know, he doesn't; I'm only up to the Dragon Cave thing), but all the other's at least are fun. I finally picked IX's, because he's just so cool, mainly for the reason that Neal stated (and he got turned into an oglop because he had an affair

highwind. no contest. the whole "angry chain smoker" thing really does a lot for me. its like playing as myself in a video game. cid highwind rocks hard.

Ahh Cid. I chose IV, I mean he rocks beyond the definition of the word. He jumps off the airship, and blows himslef up...and lives!!
My favorite non-playable character Cid...would be 10's. He was still crazy, but when he finnally sees Yuna...he gets the saddest look on his face. He's still crazy, but saner then IV's. -------------------- Really Random Quote of the Day: "Short of changing human nature, therefore, the only way to achieve a practical, livable peace in a world of competing nations is to take the profit out of war." - Richard M. I'm going to have to go for Cid in FFIX. Hilarious, with a quirky and offbeat personality. The truth behind his oglop transformation was funny stuff, too.
A close runner-up would be the Thunder God Cidolfas Orlandu from Final Fantasy Tactics. Looked pretty cool, had Excalibur (and hence, Auto-Haste) as well as every single magic Sword technique in the game. It's funny how every mission afterwards was an absolute breeze after you got him. -------------------- "I always have a quotation for everything - it saves original thinking." ~Dorothy L. I voted for FFIV's Cid because I have a lot of fond memories of that game. I liked the relationship between Cid and Cecil, Cid and Edge (that was particularly hilarious), and he was just plain cool. He wields a hammer in battle, he's responsible for the airship you get, he sacrifices himself for the benefit of the party...basically, he looks out for the FFIV crew. Oh yeah, and he survived jumping down into the underworld while being blown up with his own explosives...a hard man indeed lol

I voted for T.G. Cid from FFT. He is unquestionable the badass of that game and makes the final battle a joke. A close second was Cid from FFVII, gotta love that guys way of celebrating after a fight.

FF7's! He was just such a badass. It's so funny when Ultimate Weapon shows up and he just starts swearing up a storm. I think Barret might do, but i don't remember.

FF4 Cid. He's the most memorable to me. Just some crazy engineer guy who hits things with a hammer and after he blows himself up for you he fixes your airship. Just plain cool.

How can you even compare the other Cids to Cid Highwind? He is probably in my top 3 favorite Final Fantasy characters of all time.

I would definitely have to say Cid Highwind. It's just that I love the cinematic for his Dynamite Limit. Lighting with his cigerrette, don't get any classier than that.

Cid Highwind will always be the greatest "Cid". Â Above all, he was an actual playable character throughout.
Unlike the FFIV Cid, who came in and out when you were down a character or two, Cid Highwind was a considerably good character with great limits and an excellent "Triple AP Gain" weapon. Moreover, the Cid from FFX was missing from your list. Â For anyone who doesn't know, the name of Rikku's father, and Leader to the Al Bhed, is none other than -- CID. I would say the FF2 Cid he is so cool. I mean he swears a hell of alot, he flips off the red wings, and straps a bomb to himself, blows it up, and still lives. Defintely the coolest.

I voted for Cid from FFIV, mostly because of fond memories. A close second was FFVII's Cid, for the same reason as everyone else: he's such a badass. That one limit break where he lights the dynamite from his cigarette just cracks me up...
