I was thinking, there are alot of creative writers on here... So how many of you roleplay, be it on a site, or on a messanger service.

If you mean roleplay, as in when you and the recipient type fantasy messages back and forth to each other, I used to do it on the Harry Potter movie website.

I used to, on WinMX, then a friends' site, which pretty much died. It was alright, I guess. I was a Thief, so I had licence to insult all the Dungeons and Dragons obsessives there. Not saying Dungeons and Dragons is a bad thing, but, in moderation.

DnD rping? Nah. Forum RPing? LOTS. IRC/Chat/IM PRing? A little...

I've been trying to cut back on it all so I can have more time to myself, though, so it's not so much a big part of my day as it used to be. smile.gif

I love P and P roleplaying, but unfortunately I don't get to do it very often. The last campaign I was in was...shoot. That one that has the glamour, and the...you can tell I haven't done this in a while >_> It was only this past Feb or March.

I, like Elena, love P and P roleplaying. Unfortunatly, I had a falling out with those friends with whom I used to Pen and Paper with, and have not played for 1.5-2 years. = \

I've been roleplaying for at least seven years, but battling/sparring never interested me as much as plot-driving and character development did. I still roleplay when I get a chance (FFT or western-themed usually) but since my cases of writers' block are cyclic, I don't often have the creative reservoir I once had.

It's strictly messageboard roleplaying nowadays. I can't stand para-roleplaying on Yahoo or scrolling anymore. sleep.gif

I roleplay on games. Currently just on nexustk. It's a strange game though, some people don't rp it at all, others go all out. I rp an ancient korean barbarian and a killer for hire on another character. The barbarian is in a subpath, one of the best aspects of the game, a group of people in a certain path, warrior in this case, act a certain way. We get a nice cave to rp in, part of it is barbarians only and part is open to everyone. The subpaths all get their own unique abilities and equipment along with a few other things. If you have a good amount of time on your hands take a look at nexustk, www.nexsutk.com, the free trial only goes up to level 10, too low for a subpath, but you can still look around and ask people.

I love the crap out of roleplaying. I just got into it about 2 years ago, but since then, my friends and I play every week. We started out playing D&D and Call of Cthulu, but most recently we've gotten really into Star Wars rpg. It's my favorite thus far, mainly because I've was hardcore into Star Wars during middle school and the beginning of high school. Yes, we're huge nerds, but I have a really good time with it.

Board games such as Dungeons and Dragons, Warhammer, BattleTech and so on. People sit down, design characters to play as, and then start on all sorts of adventures, slaying dragons, seeking treasure, or take part in a large scale war. There are big rule books which show you how to engage in combat with monsters, and so on... Some of them are so expansive that you really don't even have to engage in combat if you don't want to. Fun for the whole family!! wink.gif

I've been roleplaying on and off (mostly on) for the past 12 years. I prefer the character development part of it so I'm a little dissappointed with D&D 3rd Ed. (as per the fact that it has totally been Munchkinized). Anyways, just P and P for me.

Awsome! laugh.gif

I roleplay on my own site on Avidgamers, as well as others sites. I'm obsessed with my own. I have like, 15 pages describing the unique cultures of all my made up species... I even put on on there about what they eat...

Also, my friend has started a notebook RP... But I'm terrible at remembering to write in it and pass it off to others pinch.gif

I do roleplaying for the Legend of Zelda. It is a great game and really fun. While it is a Zelda RPG, my character is based loosely off of Kain from FFIV. The website where I do it is in my sig. I would like to do a FF one but I have not found a good one yet, besides I like to join them when they first start not in the middle of it and it is hard to find one just starting, or I am just looking in the wrong places
