Throughout the whole game, I think I used potions the most because any better items I was scared to use in case I didn't have enough for the final battle. I would have used more megalixers but there just aren't very many.

Definitely Potions.  The others were either too rare (Megalixers), not as useful (Softs), or replaced by MP-efficient spells (Antidote and Remedy).  But Potions worked wonders, especially when I didn't want to waste a Cure spell on a minor wound.

ailments were a real bitch for me. i ended up using so many remedies in the WoB. For some reason, i never end up using too many potions.

have to go with potions since you have very limited magic in the beginning of the game and thats when I seem to use items the most

Potions... Ever since going through the Marsh Cave in FF1, I always made sure I had the max amount of potions/tonics. Yep, even as early as South Figaro. Hey, 250 HP a pop is not bad, eh?

You could steal them from the EarthGuards on Solitary Island in the WoR.  However, they have a tendency to kill themselves before you get a successful steal.

Assuming you had an easy infinite supply of any of them, I'd go for the megalixir, but the things I usually used most of any of these in my FF games were high potions and x-potions, with the odd elixir and remedy.

The best way to get Megalixirs, and elixirs for that matter, IMHO is off those Earthguards and Peepers.  Just, don't go there intentionally for that, go there to uncurse the Paladin Shield.  Then just take Locke and GoGo and see how many you can get before uncursing it- usually plenty.  Anyway, I think that potions get used the most, since the most item dependant time is early in the game.

I think I used potions the most because they didn't cost MP and you could buy them most anywhere, and they worked wonders before I could cast the cure spells.  ;)

To combet the tendencie of the earthguard to kill itself, cast stop on them. Stealing megalixirs is then easy

Actually, I'd say I used Tonics the most, Potions being second. They really would be about equal in money-spent, you just need a lot more tonics, and they sure are useful in the WoB. I voted potions though, basically an upgraded tonic.

You know the item that is very much good for me are the potion!

Seriously, though, potions are like the only thing I needed to restock constantly throughout the game.  During the end I didnt need them, Magic was easier, but it's still always handy to have 99 potions around for non-MP healing.

I'll go with remedies, potions doesn't really heal much. Even cure 1 is better than potions ;p, but i can't guarentee that i will always have the "remedy" spell.
Megaelixers are just too are. Throughout the whole game, i only had three (1 from the tower, and 2 from the solitary island).
It takes forever to get megaelixers from solitary island.

None of them above. I used Sleeping Bags the most because if you only needed one person to heal, fully, sleeping bags are the way to go. Sleeping Bags are much cheaper than Tents and you can get them almost anywhere in the game. For me, sleeping bags are the way to go!! cool.gif

Well, I tend to use a Tent every time I find a save point. XD I probably used over seventy potions at the beginning of the game. Now, I usually just use a Cure spell, but if I'm low on MP and don't want to waste an item, I'll break out the potions.

Potions for me. I tend to use spells to alleviate status effects and the elixir types are just too rare

Potion, or as it should be, Hi-Potion smile.gif And let's not forget about Tinctures. (Or, once again, as they should be, Ethers.) And their higher forms as well.

Though random encounters didn't really bother me in the WoR. wink.gif

I often use Potions and Tonics if my MP is too low to cast Cure, Cura, or Curaga (I'm using the re-translated FFIIIus version ROM).

I used more tonics than anything else. By the time you can really afford potions (and by the time you need them instead of tonics), Cure magic starts to fill the gap. Once I can heal with magic, I barely heal with items at all.

Elixirs have saved my ass on more than one occasion. In a close second is Tonics, at the beginning of the WoB.

I'm the only one that voted for antidote? Man! It's just that you have the cure spell most of the time (except in the three way split scenario), so I used that a lot more than potions. I always seemed to get antidotes from enemies.... and get poisoned a lot so I had to use them. I forgot to put on my Star Pendant! tongue.gif
