My favorite spell is the Flare spell on Wizard because it does so much damage if u use it in the right enemies. What yours Hommes.

Holy is by far my favorite spell. Give Ramza the calculator ability, the excalibur, and fight with him alone and you can win the battle in one turn. All you have to do is cast holy on everyone. It made me invincible

This is a tough call
but my favorite spell would have to be ULTIMA and close seconds would be holy, flare, meteor, bahamut, zodiac, cyclops there are a lot of great spells in this game -------------------- "Have you ever seen a baby do that before?" |

i wouldnt call this a spell but mines Stasis Sword.

Does Stasis Sword count or is this just MP-consuming attacks? If so, I'm joinin' my bud BlackOut and saying Stasis Sword as well. Doesn't do much damage or any of that, but I still use it regardless.
I don't really use magic that much, but I've always liked Odin and Break. Hmm... I always liked Holy, Flare, Meteor, Zodiac, Muramasa, ans Chicken. CHicken is by far, my favorite spell in the game.

Math Skill Death And frog have an item then cancels death and frog on the caster and then cast away. I did a death to all last night in the deep dungeon. All died but me.

Honestly, the spells I use the most are Haste 2 and Ramuh. I usually have a Summoner with Time Magic and Short Charge in my party for stroy battles. I use Ramuh cuz it usually takes just one turn, does decent damage, and enemies are rarely protected against it.

Well, seeing as how Math Petrify has a better chance of working than death and about 96.56% of the time no one can cure a petrify...I'm gonna go with my favorite spell of all...Math Petrify.

Meteor here, mainly because it involves lots of flashy pyrotechics. You've gotta love watching that meteor strike the earth, kinda makes you feel all fuzzy inside.

Mmm, Dark Holy. The scream makes it so much better than regular Holy. I sometimes let the demons in the battle with Velius kill me just so I can see that spell.

To bad you can't learn dark holy that would be sweet if you could. In less the summoner can learn it in place of zodiac but that’s something ill have to try and see if it works.
Oh and about the Math skill death I forgot to mention I have the faith rod equipped as well. |

Gotta say I'm not a huge fan of petrify... You can't get crystals or treasure from them. I think sleep and paralyze are two of the best spells in the game. They are cheap JP wise and can do wonders in those battles where you want to disable an enemy to search around *ahem* Deep Dungeon *ahem*, especially sleep.

Anyways, when and IF you want to get a crystal, just use Math Death Sentence. Now, this spell might not appeal to most people, but I'm a HUGE fan of using underrated skills such as Petrify, Death Sentence, and Poison, but I do use skills such as Death, Frog, and Meteor when I use Math Skill (which is ALWAYS). Anyways, Death Sentence just allows me to get more JP while waiting for the monster or human to die. And, when they do die, more than likely there will be an extra guy left to kill, allowing you to get the crystals and treasure chests. With high Faith, these skills were work more often. the best attack is Orlandus Lightinging Stab just because its so powerful, however my favorite is SCREAM believe it or not this is like the best attack.
Favorite magic is Holy/Flare (can't decide). Favorite ability thats not really an ability BLOOD SUCK why you ask, because i laigh when orlandu sucks back at eldmor and eldmor dies. the best spell in the history of Tactics is the summoner spell golem... until yesterday i never used it, now i use it religiously, golem and a good mantel + shield and nobody can touch you!

I'm with Neal on this one, the scream from dark holy is so much better than the regular screams. I've let a couple of my characters get taken down just to hear it.
It soothes me to sleep at night..... Petrify is also awesome |

I love Death, because that quick, fleeting image of the reaper shooting up through you with his soul in your arms is just friggin' creepy.

My favorites are....Dark Holy(like the scream..seemed creepy), Death(a ghost howl and then sometimes you hear a scream you know when they die), Holy(I liked it my most favorite...whited out!!!), Flare(Kaboom...!), Ultima(seen like twice...), Zodiac(my favorite summon the coolest too), and Confusion(when that guy(forgot his name)with is magic sword a star hits them on the head)...

I just find Icewolf Bite too COOL!!! the sound, graphics, I finnd everything perfect.

My favourite spells are mostly not available, sadly. Dark Holy, for previous reasons already stated, Galaxy Stop, Altima's Ultima, Poison Frog (probably my favourite because it's so funny to see Orlandu turned into a greenish-looking frog...).
As for monsters, my choice of spell would go to Dark Whisper : beautiful and powerful. |

I liked Petrify. It's graphics were so neat. Seeing a Samurai turned to stone was inspiring for me. Bard spells were fun, too.
