Me and my brother got to talking when I had just finished chapter 2, and it was the scene when Delita returns to Bethla Garrison. I will post the rest in spoilers just in case:
Possible spoilers: highlight to view Well, he brings that prisoner in and has him say who is a traitor to Goltana, which is Gelwan. Now our question was, did he do this to get closer to Goltana so he would eventually control the armies (did he bribe the prisoner to lie?), or do you think the queen really "seduced him" and the prisoner was telling the truth? Even after our billionth time running through this game, the story is still so damn confusing. -------------------- And have you found your joy, in this near dead world of ours? |

In the Brave Story menu, in the description of the scene you mentionned, it is clearly stated that Delita framed minister Gelwan : it would appear that he wasn't seduced by the Queen, and that Delita, following the church plan, did this to get access to Goltana and force him to start the Lion War.
At least that's what I think... |

I never looked at the description of that event, but the whole incident, when witnessed, felt a little "forced" to me.... I always figured the "spy" was bogus.

Delita did it to get more power and fall in favor with Goltana. Remember, while Baron Grims' Black Sheep Knights were suppressing the rebellion, Delita was off kidnapping Ovelia. He never mentioned that he temporarily deserted to Goltana, and so naturally Goltana would think that he was:
[a] - A great fighter to be the only survivor of the Ryomaku massacre [b] - A wonderful soldier for finding Ovelia [c] - A great patriot for 'sniffing out' Gelwan as a traitor (although false) This post has been edited by Shotgunnova on 1st October 2004 02:33 -------------------- It's gonna be a glorious day I feel my luck can change |
