Almost everyone got their own forum now!
What do you think about that?
I hate it!
I mean, what is the god damn point in it?

If you mean everyone hasa a diff. topic, that is good i guess, because then there are many more things to talk about.

Do you imagine us all replying to only one topic forever as a good thing! thumbdown.gif

What i mean is that almost everyone got their only little forum. Like there is at least 100 anime forums out thare and lots of forums that don't got any meaning at all!

There are a lot of small forums out there, which might appear pretty useless. Heck, many of them ARE useless. But a few of the guys running those forums (and low quality sites splattered with free hosting banners) might be running the Next Big Thing on the Web in a few years.

Everyone has to start somewhere, after all. Did you ever see Caves of Narshe 1 and 2, or Tiddles Computer Entertainment? Not the most excellent things.

I just wish the owners of small forums wouldn't come around here all the time soliciting visitors.

I don't see the big deal. It's a big internet and a huge world. There are plenty of people to go around on the many different forums. If they are too small and don't do well, who cares? Just as long as they are enjoying themselves, and not posting advertisements on other forums that don't allow that sort of thing, they should be free to do what they want.

What's the point in owning a small community store when you could be a big brand name store? There are good points to both styles of stores. The same can be said for many of the different sized forums out there. Personally, I hate over-sized ones such as IGN, etc... but enjoy a good forum about the size of CoN. Small forums can be good and bad too. You can get more say in whatever you post, but on the other side, you also have less posts to respond to.

If you don't like it, don't go there. And don't bother arguing your point to me, I understand it very well. To an extent, I agree with you. But I hardly think it's a big deal. You just seem to want to complain.

Personally, I think you're making an argument out of nothing. The Internet is virtually never-ending. There's no space being taken up, and if there is, then the person with that particular forum is either wasting money, wasting time, or both. If they want to pay for something that probably won't last long, then that's their choice, and I don't think that can be argued. The same could be said about that person's time: if they want to waste it, then so be it.

And what EK said, I completely agree with it. Smaller, less crowded forums (like CoN) tend to be more community-like compared to others such as IGN, as EK said. There's really no reason to complain unless someone starts spamming other forums to advertise for their own sake.
