ok ok ok, the last time i REALLY played ff6 seriously was when i was really young and I see alot of 'WoR" and "WoB" in this forum. I just want ot know what they mean because nobody has said the full name.../??

EDIT: WOW I just went into a thread and figured out what this meant like 10 seconds after i posted this. My opologies for any problems.

I didn´t understand it either, but WoB is world of balance, or Pre-cataclysm world and WoR is "World of Ruin" or also Post-cataclysm world, everyone say WoR or WoB, though. (sorry to be ignorant but why people?)

World of Balance is the world while the statues are still in balance. This is before Kefka messes up their delicate balance and ruins the world. Hence world of ruin.

2. People found it a good way to discuss the two worlds without revealing the ruined world to new players

Slightly off topic, but related:
Take a look at how similar the two maps are. If you lay one over the other, most of the landmarks are in the same place, even if they look a bit different.
Now, look at the abbreviated names. WOB WOR. Same thing.
I know it's dumb, but I had to.
