Used to skate all the time. Didn't do anything fancy, just got around on a board. It was fun. Had a classic board from the 90s which did the job.

Hell yeah!! I would have never guessed anyone else on these forums skateboards, i find that so sick! Been cruising for over 10 years and not planning on stopping anytime soon. My favorite skateboard company is probably Baker skateboards because they have the best board graphics and classic videos. If you're a fan of skateboarding i definitely recommend watching the video Baker 3 if you haven't already seen it.(Search it up on YouTube!) Anybody else have a favorite video?

The last time I skated was about 7 years ago. I was never a really great skater, I could do hollies and ride decently but that's about it. I still have the excellent board that my ex gave me for Christmas 10 years ago. Best Christmas gift ever

I only skated a little bit, mostly renting a pair of roller-skates for two birthday parties when I was a kid, and borrowing a pair of ice skates for free-skate events in college.
I later picked up a set of ice skates...which someone threw out probably because the skates were falling off of one shoe. Said skates were never used. -------------------- Check the "What games are you playing at the moment?" thread for updates on what I've been playing. You can find me on the Fediverse! I was skating strong until a few years ago, when I essentially had to drop the hobby to pursue other endeavours, but I still watch skate vids on youtube and am still tuning into the world of skateboarding from time to time. It's kinda difficult with university, two part time jobs, working with IATSE and trying to start up my freelance photography thing, but yeah.

I don't remember what brand my board was... It was a Powell Peralta or a Santa Cruz... All I remember was I for sure had those two brands of stickers on it. I also had a Mike McGill shirt that I really wish I still had. Not that it would fit.
This was back in the 80s and I never could skate, I was just a little kid but one my dad's friend's kid was a lot older than me and was into the scene and that's how I ended up with the board and the shirts (I had several). Old memories. |
