anyway, the topic is pretty simple. what is your dominant hand?

i'm damn proud that i'm a leftie! i would shop at Ned Flanders' store, the Leftorium. W00T for all the lefties!

I am ambidextrous in some aspects (tennis, basketball) but i can't write with my left so I'm a rightie

I'm totally right handed, VERY little use of the left hand occurs with me...even tennis, I'll use a backhand than switch hands with the racket. I guess my left hand is...well, just there

I think some US President, I think Roosevelt, can write Greek in one hand and Latin in the other at the same time.

I'm definitely right-handed.  I write, draw, eat, and shoot (basketball, of course) with my right hand.

I think the only area where my two hands are roughly equal is in the realm of piano performance.  Both hands get the same amount of participation at the same level of complexity.

Lets see, I write/draw with my right hand, catch with my left(but I throw better if I take the glove off and use my left hand,   )  I bowl with either hand(cause I suck),  punch with my right/kick with my left ,  I hold a katana/baseball bat left handed, but i use my right hand for a sabre.  I also prefer to hold my bo right handed

so yea I think I'm ambidexterus

I was born left handed, but my parents tried to fix habit so I wasn't anymore. Then, my skills of left hand revised while I damaged my right hand three times in a row   for a long time. I'm back to right hand now, but I can still do well with left hand...although the work is not the same.

But for this reason I use two of my hands for different purpose.
Left hand for power...
ANd Right hand for skill

Also, I use left hand to play high hat for drums (most people play with right hand), but since I got used to it like that, I can't change it.   , but I don't hate it

I use both hands individually for certain tasks.  I hold a pen with my left, yet when I play many a sport lead with my right.  In swordplay alone, I have discovered I'm adept with both.  But that is something I have not done in a long time.

I've found that when most people think of us "switch hitters," they fail to realize that once you acually try to learn how to do something you generaly pick a single hand to do it with. as opposed to leaning twice(once for each hand).  I think alot of people who are ambidexterdous don't even realize it.


for fighting and sports, it makes a lot of sence to use both hands. (especially fighting)  but i'll eat my foot if you can find a switch hitter who doesn't write/draw mostly with his(or her) right hand.

Well, I have become somewhat competent with my left hand due to practice in basketball, but my left hand writing resembles something a fat rhino would write while it was on drugs.  Actually not, it's readable, just not good.  I'm pure rightie for everything, even kicking, if that counts.  However I do like to keep my fork in my left hand if I have a knife and I'm cutting like a steak or something instead of cutting and switching the fork to my right hand.  I picked that up when I saw British people doing it.  Go Tiddles' British Homies.

Also, Sas, I thought you were supposed to just go backhand and not switch hands in tennis.  Oh well.

i was born a lefty but my mom taught me to use my right hand so now i am righty.... but there are still things like dealing cards and other things (that i cant remember) that i must do with my left hand...

i havent changed my avatar or anything in a long time! time for a change yall!

I kinda consider myself ambi since I really don't favor one over the other. I broke my right wrist several years ago and had to use my left hand more because of it, so afterwards it became habit to switch between the two. Writing's usually done with my right hand with the exception of cursive, which I can only do properly left-handed. Everything else is done with whichever hand gets there first.

That's an old topic, though.. long ago.

Not much as changed... I still write with my right hand and doing everything else with both hands. I would call myself ambi except for the fact that i don't write with my left at all.
