Quote 1) whats up with kefkas final form how can he be an angel? I think he is meant to be portrayed as a god rather than an angel in that form. I could be wrong, though...I HIGHLY doubt questions #2 and 4 are true, however I will leave that to those who know more than I. -------------------- Is PJ |

1 ) He's meant to be a 'fallen' angel, not unlike Satain in the Christian religion. There's not much of a reason behind it, but Square figured everybody likes angels and they had too little of them.
2 ) Nope, no Tools command. 3 ) Probably not, as the dragons are based off the elements of the game. That's not to say the elements themselves aren't based on a legend, but I wouldn't buy into it without some solid proof. 4 ) You receive MagiTek status in battle during the prologue of the game, during Sabin and Cyan (and optionally Shadow) their escape from the Imperial Outpost and finally in Cyan's dream. There's no other way. -------------------- |

Kefka's not an entire angel, though. If you look closer, you can see that the other side looks demonic.
Two and four are on the "Tired old Rumors" list. i have heard of a ledgend of 8 dragons that were waring, the war got so out of hands that the people in the realm of the dragons rose up with a group of powerful druids and sealed there powers away. they said in the game that the dragons were"sealed" and that the seal was undone when the world became undon. i was just wondering if square could have based that off of the ledgend. thanks every one for all your help. my only other question at this time then is, if those are the only spots where you can use the magitek armor then why does terra have her own speical unique comands while in them? *hands out happyness stickers to every one for helping*

Possible spoilers: highlight to view Magitek armor is created via extracting magical energy from Espers. Terra herself is partially esper, not to mention EXTREMELY adept in magic. Her own power flows through the armor, hus upgrading it instantly. -------------------- Uwao. aooh! I'm Gau! I'm your friend! Let's travel together! |

i knew that they were made from them but i guess i had never made that conntection thanks for the info*gives windgod gau a sticker of happieness* but that leads me to ask why celes isnt that way and the same for strego they both got there powers from espers. yet in the dream they dont have the same ablity terra does. they will also learn magic naturealy just like terra.

Strago does not learn magic naturally in the way Celes and Terra do. He will never learn a blue magic spell just because he leveled up. Nor were Strago and Terra ever exposed to magic infusion the way Celes was. Terra's magic is different than both Strago and Celes in such that it is "normal" magic and she was born with it. -------------------- "To create something great, you need the means to make a lot of really bad crap." - Kevin Kelly Why aren't you shopping AmaCoN? |

This actually raises a question though... Terra is half PURE MAGIC, yet it's Relm with the highest M. Power. Why?

Hmm. Maybe Relm is just a human miracle. Sounds cheesy, but it's the only thing I can think of.

It's a combination of Relm's poor special abilities and the Japanese magical-girl fetish, if you ask me. It doesn't make a lot of sense story-wise, no.

i though strego said that the mage warriors were infused with esper magic and thats what cid based his research off of? i could be wrong but i know he mentions something to that extent. i still think that if terra is able to the others who can learn magic should beable to it just weird. one more question does anyone know what extcally pug/tonberries are? i have been trying to figuer this out for like an eon now.

Terra isn't half PURE magic, she's half esper...you are confusing espers with the goddesses. The espers were beasts created by the godesses that naturally wielded magic. It don't believe it's that big a stretch to think that human imbued with the powers of magic years ago haven't evolved into humans with the ability to naturally wield it as well or even better than a half human half esper.

Pugs are little green upright newts carrying knives. Tonberries are their 3-D cousins.

They're also called Tonberries in the Japanese version.
They do look like newts though; kinda salamanderesque. However, they're tails are shaped like that of a dolphin or whale. I'd say Tonberries are just a combination of two or more animals slapped together into one creature, kinda like how moogles are. -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. From what I've read they're a cross between moles and bats. Interestingly, the Japanese word for moogle ("moguri/mogli") is a combination of the two Japanese names for those animals, basically meaning "molebat".

........*blinks alittle* i had no idea...i thought they were pixies personally. but that would explane why they live in an underground cave i guess. BTW does anyone know what happens to the rest of them in the WOR there are som many in WOB but then its only mog who is there its hard for me to belive that only one would live.

It is a little hard to believe that Mog was the only survivor, but it's either that, or all of the Moogles left like everyone else in Narshe.

I hate to be all literal here, but it's a plot device. The moogles were no longer necessary to the strory, so there was no need to actually articulate what happened to them. Assume they're dead, assume they moved to a small island, whatever. There is no answer.

The reasons behind Kefka's final form is an interesting topic. Interesting takes.
I don't think that he was litterally an angel or a demon myself, rather that it was just symbolic. Perhaps the angel appearance is linked to the fact that he had obtained a semi-divinity with all of his power. On the other hand, he was evil and often prefered subterfuge and trickery. The evil side is hidden from us to demonstrate this. Just one theory. I guess only the designers would know. Quote (Rangers51 @ 30th August 2004 05:39) assume they moved to a small island, whatever. My version is that they moved to the island where I saved Cid's life and lived a cheery life with the old guy. One night after starving for weeks, they ran out of food. Smiling at each other, in a twisted evil moogle sort of way, they proceeded to get up and bind Cid with rope. He never had a chance. They ate the poor fellow, undoing all my hard work. If you ever visit the Solitary Island, you will find a small tribe of canabalistic moogles, who for some reason seem to be missing a few in number... ....really!! ![]() On a side-note I think it's time for lunch. I might be getting delusional again. This post has been edited by Endless Knight on 30th August 2004 16:43 |

I think that the moogles all left Narshe like everyone else but instead of going away together they all went by themselves. They're probably living all over the world or scattered across the Veldt, who knows? And since they're all alone then it would be hard to find them rather than if they were together.
