i played this game and liked it. the gameplat was good, the graphics were good, all together pretty well done. i haven't played the multiplayer. haven't found anyone with the setup. anyways, the only problem i found was how very difficult this game was to get into. i mean, i couldn't really bring myself to play for extended periods of time, a first for any Square game. you start with little health and don't get many chances to increase it. the enmies do enough damage to kill you with noly a few attacks and the only way to stock up on healing items is to go into a level, grab something, and then repeat. i'm not faulting it for this, i just have a short attention span, and ADD(or at least that's what they...say...BIRDS!!!).

CC sucked IMO> It wasn't even too much an RPG, let alone a FF game.
All in all it would be good if not for the fact it was boasted as a Final Fantasy game. Irritating ![]() -------------------- I fear my heart and fear my soul Life goes on, it surely will, Without me and I wonder: Will I ever see light again? Life goes on... |

I thought it was alright, although I couldn't play it for a long period of time in one sitting either. I blame that on the game's pacing. I also didn't like how I had to pay an arm and a leg for item materials as well as for the armor/weapon upgrade itself...and I blame that on the trade I chose and never making my character's family happy for discount purposes.
I did enjoy the gameplay and Zeldaesque (for lack of a better word) battle style though. -------------------- Words of Wisdom: If something can go wrong, it will. not only were the items expensive, but the character classes were kinda stupid. i mean, the Claavats(humans) were about the only ones worth choosin, IMO.

The Lilties looked like teletubbies and those armoured thingies looked like vultures with teapots on their head. The battle system sucked badly. The areas were tedious and the music was extremely boring. The moogles were mutilated to look like footstools. The characters had no personality. Carrying the chalice around really grew boring after oh, about 30 seconds. These are all the reasons why CC sucked.

I agree with SilverFork about how much the game resembles the Legend of Zelda and that is one of the reasons I liked it. However there is not that much challenge to it and it is better if you play with others and unfortunatly none of my other friends are very big FF game players.

Chrystal Chronicles
It's hard to sit down and play single player bad multiplayer can be good if you have the right set up TANKA! W00T!!!! but seriously. maybe rent it if you don't have the multiplayer setup. if you can play multi, it's a better game all around. i gotta give it up to Square for the great job on the music though. -------------------- moé in the streets, senpai in the sheets |

It's not a bad game, the only thing is to play it to the fullest you have to play multiplayer. Which means 4 GBAs. And 4 link cables. Which, in my mind, likens it to FFXI: perhaps it's a really cool game to play, but I'll never really know, because I don't have over $100 bucks to spend on a single game.

I thought CC was pretty good, if you don't try to compare it to actual final Fantasies. Also, the vulture things are good mages. Really, the 2 worst parts of the game are it's shortness ( I beat the game and saw nearly everything on a rental), and how in multiplayer, The best strategy is often for one player to just slash and slash and slash at the bosses while the another player heals. reapeatedly pressing A over and over gets boring.
